This is much more than a port.
Oh yeah ^^ Cecil for the win!
Kefka is even better1111111111
Amazing. All nintendo FF's are better than PS FF's
wow ok... no. I say final fantasy 7,8, and 10 were all better than 1-3 FF.
I don't know. 1, 3, 4, and 6 were some of the best and 7, 9, and tactics were awesome for the PS brand and I count XI on PC because that's what I played it on and that is an great game. In any event Final Fantasy itself is a pretty slick franchise.
FF6 is my personal favorite but FF4 had a better storyline and character development IMHO. Both are in my top 5 games of all time anyway tho so it doesn't really matter. FF7 caused me to leave the FF franchise, and the fact that so many ppl liked it more than FF6 or FF4 caused me to lose respect for gamers back then (this is when ppl started obsessing over graphics).
Oh deffinatly. In the end for me FF4 is the cream of the crop ^^ which is why it's so cool they totally remade this game and added a bunch of new features. That Rydia's sidekick is weird but could be fun all the same. I will still call Cecil "See-sill" though lol
FF is way better on Nintendo. This proves it
heck yes. This is going to be the best gaming summer for me. I got this, then final fantasy tatics 2, also add in MGS4 and soul calibur man I will never have a dull moment. My GF is going to hate me. lol
You gave me another reason to give up on having a social life =P
Well, crap. I guess I need to buy a DS. Thanks a lot, Square. No, *really*. *Thanks* FF4 is, hands-down, my favorite FF of all time.
Awesome! I like how you are now rewarded for full-exploring dungeons and I'm eager to try out the augmenting system. I'm still kinda confused about Rydia's sidekick or whatever, but it seems like a cool new idea. I still love ff4's boss-battle music. It's upbeat, has a nice tune, and definitely conveys a feeling of imminent danger. FF6's boss-battle theme beats it by a hair IMHO, but both are masterpieces. Man, this whole time I've been pronouncing it "see-sill" instead of "seh-sill" lol
I'm hurt. I want the japanese voices :/
So excited for this. FF 2 on my Snes is what started my love for RPG's. Funny thing is I just replayed FF2 from an snes emulator on my laptop in Afghanistan. In between patrols during downtime im leveling Cecil up and trying to find the Excalibur weapon. I have to find a way to play my DS through my big screen
This looks good, I'm also looking forward to FFXIII. Is there talk of another Dragon Warrior or Quest?? That's the game that started my love of RPG's, nintedo's Dragon Warrior... still fun to play to this day.
Yes there is another Dragon Quest game coming out. DQIX is going to be out on the DS. So along with this Final Fantasy remake they are going to do the same for FF V & VI along with remakes of DQ IV-VI all on the DS
I already have it on the PS1, but this looks phenomenal. Should I buy a DS just for this game? I honestly don't know that much about the DS. I don't know if there would be any other games out there for me that would interest me. Idk I have time to decide I suppose. For now I guess I should stick with my PSP for the handheld department.
DS is awesome if you like RPGs! I would get one for sure :)
What other titles do they have for RPG's? I love RPG's, definitely my favorite genre.
Well... the DS has a lot of support. It's the system with most third party support, even more than the 360. And I'm talking about real support. The DS has both extremely casual games, and extremely hardcore games. Abd now is the jRPG system of choice. It has a lot of support from Square Enix, Atlus, Nippon Ichi NIS, Mistwalker... heck, even Rare and Microsoft (Age of Empires and the recently announced Age of Empires: Mythologies). Besides, it has The World Ends With You, one of the best original titles that Square has created. And dont forget the new Dragon Quest remakes, plus, the brand new Dragon Quest IX And check this new article in IGN about the 5 upcoming titles from NIS Nippon Ichi. http://ds.ign.com/articles/... Oh, and PLEASE, check this new game: RIZ-ZOAWD, its a Wizard of Oz RPG http://gonintendo.com/?p=45... Also, it has BioWare support. Sonic Chronicles is looking very good ASH: Archaic Sealed Heat Avalon Code Blue Dragon DS Children of Mana Contact Deep Labyrinth Digimon Story Digimon Story Moonlight Digimon Story Sunburst Digimon World DS Digimon World: Dawn Digimon World: Dusk Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker Dungeon Explorer Dungeon Explorer: Warriors of Ancient Arts Etrian Odyssey Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fate Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales Final Fantasy III Final Fantasy IV Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings Freshly Picked: Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy Heroes of Mana Inuyasha: Secret of the Divine Jewel Izuna 2: The Unemployed Ninja Returns Izuna: The Legend of the Ninja Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Lost in Blue 3 Lost Magic Luminous Arc 2: Will Lunar Genesis Lunar: Dragon Song Magical Starsign Maple Story DS Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time Mazes of Fate DS Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team Mega Man Star Force 2: Zerker x Ninja Mega Man Star Force 2: Zerker x Saurian Mega Man Star Force: Dragon Mega Man Star Force: Leo Mega Man Star Force: Pegasus Metal Saga Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer Naruto RPG 2: Chidori vs. Rasengan Naruto RPG 3: Reijuu vs Konoha Shoutai Naruto: Path of the Ninja Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2 Orcs & Elves Pokemon Diamond Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time Pokemon Pearl Pokemon Platinum Pokemon Ranger Pokemon Ranger: Batonnage) Rune Factory Rune Factory 2 Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon Sigma Harmonics Soma Bringer Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood Spectral Force Genesis Spectrobes Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals Summon Night Summon Night 2 Summon Night: Twin Age Tales of Innocence Tales of the Tempest Tao's Adventure: Curse of the Demon Seal Valkyrie Profile Vandal Hearts World Ends With You Xenosaga I & II Ys DS Ys II DS And tactical RPG's works very good with the stylus. Too bad that this site, N4G, just promotes the DS as a casual system with nothing more than Babiez and Petz games. If you are interested in find out the latest Nintendo DS games, visit gonintendo.com Every week there is at least a new RPG announced.
The World Ends With You, Contact, Summoning Light, Etrian Odyssey, Mystery Dungeon, FFCC Rings of Fate, Orcs & Elves, Heros of Mana, FFXII Revenant Wings, FFIII, and IV, the pokemon games Upcomings are Valkyrie Profile 3, Disgaea, FF V-VI, DQ IV-VI and the newest in the series DQ IX, FF Tactics 2, Etrian Odyssey II, Sonic Chronicles, Avalon Code, and a Sega RPG. To name a few ;) Edit: lol or you could look at the list above me :)
Thanks for the lists guys. I may have to pick one up. I bought my girlfriend one, but all she plays is Animal Crossing. Looks like I was definitely wrong about the games all being like that.
This is by far, my favorite FF game to date.
Mm, that it's all for the best? Ah of course it is. Mmm, what you say? (I saw your avatar and couldn't help it...) FFIV looks amazing. I am surprised how much this looks improved over FFIII for DS.
why would they remake if it still features crappy graphics...
The video is very upscaled. Besides, the native resolution of a DS screen is lower than the video, so I just want to ask you that next time you are in a store, grab a DS in the demo station, and watch the graphics. DS graphics are actually pretty good, but you need to see them on the DS screens.
ok. haha. my bad. i thought its the same as the video.
