if this becomes wildly successful you can be guarenteed ea games quality will massively decrease. i mean why make the best game you can, when people are buying it before its even finished? this is why ive never liked kickstarter, it relies on honesty from a source of greed.

You make good games so gamers will keep buying your product. EA might not be the best company, but think they have some awesome games.

jimjam34423534d ago

they do have good games (which have been handled very poorly as of late) but ea access supports ea, not the developers.

MeliMel3534d ago

@jim, hahahaha.... yeah the developers they happen to own.

Why do you think subscribers would not care about the quality and quantity of content?

If anything you'll get a more diverse port folio of smaller games to support the AAA retail releases. Which is a good thing.

If anything, the quality bar has to be kept raising, because competition will do the same thing!

Heck even GwG and PS+ will have to raise their bar if EA Access is so super duper fantastic, that people quit buing GwG/PS+ (assuming they don't play online games) then they just have to up it.

Competition is fantastic when they allow it, and in this case only MS has so far.

My only issue with EA access is I don't really like many EA games. Will definitely sign up once some Bioware games are available for Xbox One though.

EA Access will the best deal on consoles for a while. $30 a year for unlimited play is just too hard too resist. Once EA expands their library to about 20-30 games I'll subscribe.

Volkama3534d ago

Imagine what EA Access will look like on the PC when they inevitably bring it to Origin. Big old back catalogue to fill the vault with.

Not down playing the xbox offering at all, as that is already looking good and should only get better as the console matures.

It is just another option for Xbox One owners. They will be the ones to decide if it is worth their $30 a year or not. I see no issue with it but just more option like the option of spending money on external HDD up to 16tb, buying xbox music pass, and renting movies on the system. We all like more apps and option just like our cell phones.

Was anyone else affected yesterday? It force closed bf4 and prompted me to buy the game or insert disc despite being an access subscriber. Sorted now, but was an issue for a few hours.
