We all had those video game experiences where we threw or controller, screamed, swore and maybe sobbed a bit. Here are some of the most range inducing top hardest video game bosses ever that popped more than a few blood vessels.
Dark Souls that entire game.
The entire game? Many of the bosses are pretty easy.
Does this guy even play video games? "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Hunter’s last boss was beyond range inducing. This old man shouldn’t be much of a problem but he is!" First, the game is Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Second, just because the boss is call The End, doesn't mean he's the last boss. Also, is "beyond range inducing" your attempt at a pun, or do you not even give your article a second glance before publishing? Story quality? = WTF? Like this website? = No
Dark Souls becomes pretty easy once you learn how to back stab & dodge properly which is basically waiting for the enemy to start his attack animation and roll to the side.
Pretty much any secret super boss in Final Fantasy game. And then theres Absolute Virtue boss in FF11 that takes 18(!) hours to beat.
Yellow Devil from the first Mega Man. That boss destroyed me over and over until I eventually learned of the rapid pause trick (cheat). Man that was brutal.
Hardest bosses I've ever fought are ornstein and smough from dark souls, and alma from ninja gaiden black.
Vanquish: Tactical Challenge #6
He says a game was "range inducing" more than once. We deserve higher standards.
Those kinds of errors really are "done right disappointing."
Oo nicely done my friend! XD
Killzone 2 Colonel Mael Radec!
I must confess at one point I said [email protected] it and never finished the game. Damn him! Lol.
I have broken many of controller because of alma, general raam, and sephiroth........those were the days! Edit: Soul sacrifice has some hard boss battles as well
Destiny beta had some that took awhile to beat
IMO they were poorly designed and felt uninspired. They did not make you feel powerful or accomplished when you won because the battles were tedious and your class did not provide anything to the fights you just shot your gun at critical points for 30 minutes and that is it. I really hope the bosses in the final game are more impressive.
They weren't hard though, just required a grind.
From this list I've only played Goro, Sephiroth, Raam, and Orstein/Smough. They were notable in their respective games, but far from the toughest bosses of all time in my opinion.
LOL, Metal Gear Solid - Final Boss, Um, I believe his name was The End and you battle him mid-way through the game. (Unless you shoot him early on when they're wheeling his ass into the complex.) ;-)
Or set your PS2 clock ahead and let old age kill him. Jeez this game was and still is incredible.
OH! I forgot about that too! MGS:3 is/was the definition of a timeless video game. :D
The End is the easiest boss in gaming history. All you had to do was set your console clock a week or two forward (or just wait) load up the game and, hey presto! The End had died of old age!
Actually I felt like KH2 Sephiroth was a lot easier than in KH1.
is sephiroth a mandatory battle in the kh games
Hmm, Alma isn't that hard compare to Doppelganger fiend, especially when you must fight two or three Doppelganger in the same time And lol, The End is not the final boss One thing that i agreed from the list though is Gill from SF III. I really really hate that guy. Not only he had a very good long range attack, but his super arts "Ressurection" is veryyyyy cheap & annoying too :( Anyway, for me one of the most hardest (final) boss game ever is Queen Shizel from Tales of Eternia. Her special artes: Eternal Finality and Finality DeadEnd can wipe out your entire party in a blink of an eyes. I got a couple of game over because i can't activate the Aurora Wall in the right time.
This article seems like it was written by a 7 year old. Terrible.
Really, RAAM? He's a pushover. Torque bow, lancer, rinse and repeat. Try beating Queen Myrrah on Insane. Playing FFX HD brought back memories, the amount of farming and grinding required just to survive a few turns against the area conquest monsters or dark aeons is just insane.
Virgil in DMC3...
Most of the bosses in DMC 1, 3 and 4 can be difficult, but some of them take it to the next level. Especially bosses like Dante in Bloody Palace (DMC 4). Consider the Shadows from DMC 1, those were terrifying when you met them on DMD, and that's not even a boss.
Metatron in Digital Devil Saga.
I have a short memory, the most annoying boss i fought this year was The Ancient Dragon from Dark Souls II, very damn long tedious fight and one mistake or bad luck (bad dragon placement) and you're dead.
Ultimate difficulty Killer Rabbit in Dragon's Crown. A real pain in the ass! Special mention to Freya in Star Ocean Till the end of time. Unless you have a perfect fayth build and looots of duck duck bombs, she was near impossible!
