Looks like Amazon is making an effort to sell the Xbox One in some European countries, with heavy discounts in Italy, France and Germany.
The x1 could be 299 and still get outsold in europe by PS4 easily. Remember ps3 launched way more expensive and 16 months late yet still easily outsold xbox 360 there.
Did you know Wii outsold both. PS2 outsold all.
I don't see any mention of PS4 sales in this article. Is it necessary to always bring up PS4 in every single XB1 article?
You have to ignore people who can't help but troll any xbox article , they just seek attention
ahahaha look at your disagrees for stating facts. Defending their precious xbox..Microsoft created a US centric consoles, most features dont even work in here and they expect us to pay more for a weaker system. Yeah right...keep dreaming
My disagree had nothing to do with my "precious xbox". It had to do with the fact that every time I click on an article about the XB1, the first thing I see is some asshat talking about how superior the PS4 is. Whether or not that is true, I would like to be able to read civilized comments from people about the actual topic of conversation. For instance, I haven't commented on 1 PS4 article, why, because nobody wants to hear the opinion of somebody who clearly could give 2 @$%*'s about said console... I find it mighty ironic that people seem to not give a damn about the weak ass XB1, yet they are constantly on this website commenting on XB1 articles instead of playing their superior console, strange...
So his oppinion is fact is it , but i guess because he brought up ps4 in a xbox article makes it so yet i bet that if someone talked about xbox or wii in a playstation article you'd call them out for it
@MrKrispy Well his "opinion" is a fact because that's exactly what happened. The PS4 launched at $500 - $600 which was $100 - $200 more than the 360, and ultimately the 360 kept it's $100 price advantage for most of the entire generation, and even at their cheapest now the 360 is still $50 cheaper. However, none of that mattered, because every year since launch the PS3 outsold the 360 in EU. So that part of his comment was indeed a fact. Now the XBO being $299 and the PS4 being $399 and still outselling it in EU is an opinion; however, history would strongly back that opinion up. That being said I completely agree with you, he's trolling, there was no need to bring it up, and so he gets a disagree from me as well.
I payed for a "weaker" system and im happy with it. Try again fanboy
seems pretty off topic but ok
I guess they're trying to have a bigger impact over there. They haven't released all over Europe yet, so this would make a little sense...but why would they do this before Gamescom though?
probably makes sense to get agressive trying to make up for sony's head start
Maybe demand after E3 didn't happen so Amazon are trying before gamescom. The problem is Sony has a lot hype in Europe and Amazon needs to shift Xbox units. Waiting till after Gamescom could either have no affect/the apposite (doesn't help Amazon) or it could have an affect (but why would Amazon want to sell discounted stuff when demand is higher)
Good for people looking for a price drop. I just don't see this doing anything great in the big picture. They could show game play of the 10 best games ever, public perception is already entrenched. Not to mention being under spec when compared.
I don't think it will be enough to beat the ps4 but good enough for people trying to get a second console.
The people have spoken. They don't want the bone
If only they could have made it by 400$ from the start , the sales would have been a little better .
Xbox One will never sell good in europe. They had a chance to turn things around with the Xbox One, a fresh start, 360 in europe was a weak market for Microsoft. But they screwed them selves with bad pr and stupid policies. So that was the nail in the coffin. This price drop will have 0 effect. Rip in peace.
