WC: As we rattle through 2014 in search of something to play on our shiny new Netflix-machines, in retrospect have you ever taken the time to think how well the titles of yesteryear are going to stand the test of time?
lol modded skyrim for me. smh
There's going to be faaaar worse in the games of the future that our kids end up playing. No reason to be ashamed of anything.
lol if you say so, some skyrim mods make san andreas hot coffee look like childs play.
I believe person who did this list wouldn't be able to recognize good game from a bad if both were presented side by side.
The only thing on that list that we should be ashamed of is Lillipop chainsaw Deadly Premonition abd Maybe MW2 the rest were gems!
You clearly have not played Deadly Premonition. So says Mr. Stuart.
I'm not ashamed of any of these. Why lie to kids? Tell them the truth. Santa claus isn't real, mmkay.
You just broke the hearts of the majority of N4g users. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Agree 100%. I play games because for the unrealistic, fantasy element. That's why they don't make games called "Pay Your Taxes" or "Eat Your Vegetables".
You're full of s**t. Who's eating the cookies if Santa doesn't exist? lol
Totally useless article. Violence and sex always sell and always will.
I will pass down my copy of Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 as an heirloom. I have nothing to hide.
I sold mine long time ago but at least I can show of the achievements I got for collecting all the swimsuits for Hitomi and Leifang.
What is even the point of this article? The games they listed don't make much sense to be put there anyway. and how dare you put Bayonetta on that list.
I don't see how some of these games are to be ashamed of. GTA V? MK9? 1 mission of CoD?
Manhunt is a masterpiece.
DoA fan for life fk this article
Carmageddon?! Why is that on the list? Not only was that one of my favorite games when I was 11-12, but when they released it on Android last year I downloaded it for myself And my 10 year old son on his tablet. He loves it!
Ashamed? For what? Sooner or later our kids will learn 'Boobs and Gina' from their school or friends. So, i think it's a good opportunity if we as parents give our kids a life lesson about Human's body from video games who we already love and knew for years ;)
I would be ashamed to play any children games in from of any kids.
My generation will have its share of sins. The last thing I'll be "ashamed" of is some lame VG T&A or anything videogames, really.
I'll never be ashamed of any of these.
In 20 or 30 years, kids will be having sex with their machines. So... I think these games are just fine.
The author of this article clearly doesn't know Japan. From Conception II to Akiba's Trip Undead and Undressed to the Senran Kagura series and then some, Japanese games are famous for being at least a little bit controversial, and the stuff I mentioned is all localized stuff. If you want real controversy, try some of the stuff that never makes it over here. I wish I could unexperience that Cho Aniki game I tried back in '09(I think), but I can't. Then again, I heard beforehand that it was controversial even in Japan, and was curious why. As others have said though, our kids will have games they're too ashamed to tell us about, so whatever. Besides, this article deals more with controversial stuff as a basis for being ashamed to show our kids. I think I'd be more embarrassed to be caught playing any of the shovelware or shallow casual titles that flood the market these days.
Better than most reality tv show that are popular atm.
