Is The Last of Us: Remastered worth buying? Possibly, but it depends on how you feel about Naughty Dog’s critically acclaimed title.
Only if you have a PS4 and didn't play the PS3 version.
I'm not sure it's that black & white. If you haven't played Left Behind and/or find a "trade in" option - I think it's viable for many as well. Of course there's also the collectors & hardcore fans out there, who for which the commentary alone would be worth the price of (re)admission.
I totally forgot about the trade in option. Good point!
I played it on PS3. I stopped playing to play other games. I never played any of the DLC. I gave my PS3 copy my sister the day before the Remastered released. I bought it again with all DLC on PS4 for $50. I'm enjoying the f out of it before more games I want release. AWESOME game!! The End.
You have been brainwashed bro. What a waste of money. Great game, but it doesn't deserve the remaster plus the multi-player is filled with Bugs.
@ Stalker TLOU is incredibly sharp and shines brightly on PS4 hardware, whereas you could see gameplay systems and graphical fidelity struggling on ageing PS3 hardware. FYI: I also played it on PS3. I also stopped playing to play other games. I also never played any of the DLC. I sold my PS3 copy of TLOU. And PS4 version is mine. The absolute best game on next-gen consoles is a waste of money… yeah sure, in a troll's world.
This again. What a waste of my life.
It was worth a second buy for me, especially on account you could get the ps4 game for $25 if you traded in your ps3 copy at gamestop when it first came out. It was my game of the year when it came out- definately worth playing again.
I have both copies and feel it warrants a second purchase. Trade in the ps3 copy. 60 FPS is a life changer for this game.
My only complaint is the loading screens ;)
The only long load is at the beginning, in single player.
Should I buy lunch tomorrow?
No, carry a sandwich from home.
but what if i have no sandwichs at home ?
Should I text her first? nawww F.D.B.
10000000% BUT ONLY if you missed it on PS3. If you didn't get the 15 quid DLC only.
Squid? Wtf r u talking about.
Ah, another fascinating philosophical question...
wait for the complete edition that will actually have all DLCs and maps included
Rolls eyes* More importantly, it's up to the person to decide. If they enjoyed it on the PS3 and want it on the PS4, and think it's worth it I don't see why not. Better yet, if they skipped it on the ps3 because that person didn't have a ps3 or just passed on it for some reason, then it's a for sure recommendation from me. And, don't miss out on a great game over DLC that won't make or break the game because you think it's owed to you. Join the real world and stop living in a fantasy land.
Rolls eyes at the individual rolling his eyes.
BX81 Shrugs shoulders.* That's your choice to do so.
Only if you never played it on the PS3.
Too late.....scooped it last week
I suppose it is worth buying. I never played it on PS3 and my PS4 is on the way. So I'm getting it.
I already did.
I traded my ps3 copy when gamestop had their deal going on, i had no dlc and barely scratched MP on ps3, also i only ever played through on normal, on ps4, im playing through on survivor (currently about to get to the gymnasium...) really enjoying the limited supplies as I really didnt use bricks/bottles much before and relied on listen mode a lot...its a totally fresh experience for me
I just completed it again on grounded, took my 16 hours and i died 120 times lol!
Thank you so much - your wisdom enlightend my puny mind. Now I finally know what do you. And I always thought I could decide for myself if I'm allowed to buy a game or not. Turns out I was wrong this entire time...
trade in value from ps3 to ps4 isnt bad
Uh sure if you want to. Got any more brain busters Canada?
Ugh this again... its simple, if you missed it on PS3 do yourself a favor a play this masterpiece now on PS4. Likewise if your a huge fan and don't mind double dipping well more power to you.
I waited until it dropped to $29.99 on the PS3 then bought it. I played about 20% and then got distracted. I then did the Gamestop trade-in deal and got $25 toward the PS4 version. No brainer.
