Not really sure how a bunch of GIFs from a game released last year are relevant or useful.

Great looking, but mediocre game.

VforVideogames1324d ago

I wouldn't say mediocre game , it looks awesome and it plays good its more appropriate.

GiantFriendlyCrab1324d ago

RUSE should have been the appropriate name

ABizzel11324d ago (Edited 1324d ago )

Now I'm not one for trolling, but I must say both comments were funny :D

Ruse: The art of Deception

OT: Ryse is a great looking game, but it took a lot of trickery to get there. Regardless I'll be getting the PC version, but I'll play through it on my XBO for the achievements when I get it next week.

JsonHenry1324d ago

Too bad about the gameplay. Looks pretty good though regardless of all other things wrong with it.

carreirabr1324d ago

Graphics over gameplay, the PC thread.

TheWackyMan1324d ago

We all know the gameplay sucks, so the only thing going for it is graphics. Everyone sensible enough to own a strong enough PC are going to "borrow" this game, to benchmark their PC.

KZ:SF still has the better IQ overall, Single Player at least based on the high res. screenshots.

PS4 Capture

Best Ryse High Res. i could find (no dynamic shadows > npc near the statue btw., inclinded to say thats from a PC, compared to the image below : everything is distinguishable in the background, no "low res" textures and such)

Worst Rye High res. Image

Eiffel1324d ago (Edited 1324d ago )

I see a ton of aliasing in those SF captures, as well as low shadow quality in the second. Contact LensCrafters immediately.

So you are trying (and failing) to compare the Single player of KZ to the multiplayer of Ryse? Want to compare fairly...

That draw distance... ewww.

thisismyaccount1322d ago (Edited 1322d ago )

Okay... :

Ryse Single Player XB1 (XB1 vs PC)

Vesus KS:SF

...not even the Ryse-PC shots manage to impress me and not going to highlight the difference between XB1 vs PC (blurry vs enhanced).

Ryse had some great environments too (and it should for being extremely linear), but overall it really won because of Character models. The Character models in Ryse are among the best in gaming.

Killzone has amazing environments, especially for an open-ended game, and it has some great character models too.

Ryse linearity outdid Killzone though on the overall scale of things, simply because they can focus on exactly what you see.

No one can deny that Killzone was a beautiful game, but it was a rush job. Rain effects are low res, some areas aren't as quality as their setpiece moments, and other little tidbits, but at it's best Killzone had points were it was better than Ryse, on average Ryse was the better looking game (IMO now). But what's even more frightening is that Killzone was a rush job launch title for Guerilla, and they have a completely open-world game they've been working on for years and it probably looks at good as Shadow Fall at it's best already (Destiny who?).

Now image all of this in an open-world game
