Gamer Attitude's Luke takes a look at the Playstation Now Beta and shares his opinion on the new service by Sony.
I really hope Sony takes note of articles like this, I'd hate to see them squander something with so much potential.
They spent millions on it, they won't simply "squander" it and call it a day. Also, they already said they're reading the beta testers' feedback.
Is it possible for someone to please write an article and use all the information given from Sony please? Listed below is information on contacting Sony and there own acknowledgment of a subscription based program to follow. Try reading it entirely before disagreeing, you might learn something. I think stating fact speaks louder and is appreciated more then spewing misinformation, speculation or opinion. Just saying and asking nicely. Email sent from Sony to private beta tester: Hi Private Beta Testers, We just wanted to give you all a quick update on the next phases of PlayStation Now. As you may have heard, at our E3 Press Conference we announced that PlayStation Now will be moving into an Open Beta, first starting on PS4 system on July 31, 2014. We are excited to get PlayStation Now in the hands of all PS4 users - so there is a lot of excitement for July 31 to come around. If you didn't see our E3 trailer - take a look at it here. Now it's time for Private Beta news. On 6/18 you will have seen a title rotation which includes a fresh set of games as well as the introduction of a preliminary pricing test. Inside this first test, you will find a variety of rental prices and rental periods to choose from. These prices are ultimately decided on by the participating developers and publishers. Your feedback during this next phase of the Private Beta is extremely important, as we will be monitoring it closely. PS. If you have a rental period in progress for a game that just got rotated out: don't worry! You will still be able to access the rental up until the end of its rental duration by finding the game in your "My Games" section. Please give us your feedback in these Private Beta Forums or email us at [email protected] om and help shape the future of PlayStation Now Thanks, The PlayStation Now Team PlayStation Website http://blog.us.playstation.... In addition, we’ve heard you loud and clear for an update on a PS Now subscription option and want to reassure you that we are working on it. We think PS Now represents the next step toward the future of gaming and we’re excited to have the PlayStation Nation come along with us on the beginning of this journey.
I've generally had a very good experience with it. Sometimes I'm displeased with how muddy or grainy the video quality looks, but other times it looks quite clear and vibrant and still provides good controller responsiveness. It's certainly amazing technology and it's easy to see how this could be a major part of the future of gaming. For one thing, it could allow one device (or just the display) to play games from a variety of different systems without the use of emulators.
