'Project CARS' looks to be the next best racing simulator - Examiner

There’s a reason so few racing simulator games exist on the market. Similar to why multiple franchises for a single sport are in short supply, each experience is relatively the same, making the competition rough, and it falls upon the developers to try and find unique ways of attracting gamers to their product in order to remain in the competition. (Brian Hong, PC, Project CARS, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

Wow - This generation is just, 'getting into gear'.

It's understandable that the author is excited for this game, but there's scores of racing games and simulators coming out in the near future.

For the WiiU and PC, this is exciting news. I am buying this as soon as I can for my PC. I still play Gran Turismo on my PS3, but my computer feels lonely when I am in the mood to race!

Looks pretty bland and boring, honestly. Still can't get over the stupid name either. A demo could change my mind though, we'll see.

I had high hopes for this Project Cars, but ever since I found out there wouldn't be any upgrading or tuning of the 70ish cars, I'm just not that excited about this game.

I'm sure it will play great regardless.

They said "no upgrading", as in you can't throw in different parts. "Tuning", as in performance adjustments should be in there. I'd be very surprised if tuning wasn't there.

Its a sim, in that each car is modeled on a real life counterpart. (how accurate it is, is another matter. As I understand some cars are more accurate than others) So you can't really provide the authentic experience if you can swap out motors, turbos, etc.

Yea, if you were expecting Gran Turismo, you will be disappointed.

The only question is... Will it be delayed at the alst moment again.

Will rent project cars to see how it compares to GT before purchasing , have high hopes for project cars though keeping my ps4 warm until GT7 comes out. I heard a insider of mine who works in Japan that they are doing a remaster of gt6 acadamy for ps4 (not a prologue)
