Everyone seems to really despise downloadable content and yet, the DLC keeps coming because people keep buying it.
I just asked myself that question and I think the main reason is somewhat childish. If someone else has content that I wouldn't really find interesting it annoys me cause I can't play it but that person can. It's like toys when you're five ha
I don't buy it. In fact, I even refuse to buy a game which is DLC-milking, even if I'm very interested in the game. Example: Forza 4. Seemed like a great game, but too much DLC-milking, so I never picked it up, and I just keep playing Forza 3, or other racing games from different developers. Other case in point: Batman Origins: Very much interested in the game. Won't buy it. Will wait for a cheap GOTY. If I'm still interested by then. I vote with my wallet, and I'm a patient guy, so I always just wait for a complete edition to come out, and if I'm still interested in the game by then, usually 1-2 years down the line, I'll pick it up. If not, I don't. I don't mind good DLC, like the Episodes for GTA4, or the DLC that came out for Trials HD and Evolution, because that was clearly content that was made after release, and offered great value for money. However, 95% of DLC is just greedy nickel-and-diming, and I will never support it.
Can't wait for the GOTY for Batman: Origins!
Same here, although TBH I'm secretly hoping they'll release a FullHD version for PS4 and XBO.
