The Creative Assembly: Alien: Isolation on Oculus Rift 'blew our minds'

VRFocus - E3 2014 held a number of reveals for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset, one of the most exciting of which was a prototype version of upcoming sci-fi horror experience Alien: Isolation using the kit. Developer The Creative Assembly was quick to stress that what was on show was only a test bed for VR support and wasn't confirmed to be included in the full title. That didn't stop the team from labeling the experience as 'phenomenal' when speaking to VRFocus at the event.

The story is too old to be commented.

Every time I see this game, I can't help but think of CA saying they wanted the Alien's AI to be revolutionary.

And the whole game basically depends on it.

It's a good thing CA do such a good job with AI in their flagship Total War games recently........

Rome 2 was just a ridiculous, pathetic disaster in execution. Insanely bad performance and some of the worst AI in gaming memory.

Enemies would charge, get like 6 ft away from your own troops, STOP, run back, charge in again, stop, run back, rinse and repeat.

I have no faith in CA making Alien the game it needs to be.

And then I think back to some gameplay of Alien, you're hidden under a DESK, the alien is right there in front of you, like 2 inches away, and it doesn't sense or smell you.

Disaster of a game waiting for bad reviews I predict.

You seem rather excited about poor reviews for this game. Why would you enthusiastically await its failure?
