Xbox One €349.99 price was listed "in error", Microsoft says

A Microsoft spokesperson has confirmed to VideoGamer.com that the €349.99 price listed on the Spanish Xbox.com was done so "in error".

should poorer countries get some sort of discount? i think so, 300 - 400 Euros is a lot of money to many a Spanish family, i suspect most will miss out on next gen!

Okay companies look at different markets and judge reasonable prices bit you can't expect companies to bend over backwards to find appropriate prices for those countries that have been crippled. Spain is an example of where spending money on items like this should not and probably isn't their top priority.

I mostly agree with you, but one cant just live on bread alone, a gaming system can give you much needed enjoyment (and some distraction from the hard realities of day to day life) in harder times (depending of course if you can afford the initial cost and a game or two).

Mind you living in the UK - i feel we get a bit ripped off compared to USA etc (they pay much less for their consoles then we do)

If you have to worry about buying food, the newest video game console is a luxury. I am surprised people would feel entitled to it. Seriously do they want the newest iPhone as well?

You do realise that people earn less in America, there minimum wage is a lot lower than ours yeah? the federal minimum wage is $7.25 which is roughly just over £4!! Some states are lower and some are slightly higher, I'm on £13 basic an hour which is roughly $21.

This is a sad and tragic comment, I would suggest if times are that hard you could always adopt a rescued dog as this surely would fulfil are your needs.

Most Spanish gamers will just get a PS4. I agree with you that 399€ is a lot of money for us but if we want it bad enough thsds are ways to get it.

Yeah, perhaps they can add a "tax" to the other countries that are better off to subsidize the "poor" countries. We pay more, they pay less. They can call it the Hope and Change plan. /s

Ofcourse it was, there is absolutely no chance it would come this early. Do you realize how much flack they got when they just took out the kinect from the early adopters? Do you know how much worse it would be if they price cut now and double screwed them AND the people who just recently bought a console? If anything a price cut IF IT HAPPENS will be after MCC if that doesn't spike sales out the roof.

Doubtful but I bet all those xbox boxers who paid launch price aren't happy that this little slip up happened alongside the official price cut and no doubt another one before Christmas kinect less xbox £299, I reckon so, not a sniff of a price cut on ps4 so far and doubtful they will this year but they could knock £50 off and it would be £299 in this country then xbox would be in trouble, think xbox will drop again before ps4 even consider a price cut

The title price is in euros not dollars.

€349 = $468.
