Some video games are very open ended, such as Skyrim, but the normal progression is to fulfill the various story arcs, save the day, and sit back and watch the credits roll. Online games are different in that play continues even if the mmo main storyline comes to a successful conclusion. In most mmo games, the player is a person who has been endowed by fate to save a world from some diabolical entity. Once that evil is defeated, we find the player logging in to the game and doing his daily quests and such. So, is it worth finishing the main storyline in mmos?
