Asia has created some of the greatest gaming weaponry of all time, from Cloud’s Buster Sword to Bayonetta’s badass hairdo. With the good comes the bad, and for every awe-inspiring Sword of Sparda, there’s something equally useless.
"So it’s a sword with a gun handle, how does that make it any different from any other sword?" Pretty sure it can fire shots...when you press the R1 button during fights you do extra damage and a tiny explosion can be seen like something has went off. It's better then the Buster Sword in my opinion
Yeah, I dunno why the gunblade gets so much crap from fans considering the multitude of silly weapons in the Final Fantasy series. Rinoa's weird dog-launching-wrist-boomerang is just as strange. And Ward uses a freakin' ship anchor as a weapon!
Yep, the shot fired sends a shockwave through the blade dealing extra damage. The gunblade is one of thee coolest and most iconic weapons in Final Fantasy. To have it in a list of 'worst' weapons as opposed to 'best' is absurd.
it maade grinding levels actually fun. l've always loved Squalls weapon cause of the timing r1 trigger
holy cow i also thought that feature of actually triggering the shot as he strikes the enemy really added a unique element to turned based FF games, the gun blades especially the lionheart was like plasma or something, it was beast!
Pull the trigger and shoot your fingers off or cut them off when the gun recoils.
The Gunblade is sexy.
I like the blitzball. Wasn't very good but it fit the character well and was memorable.
Renzokuken + Lionheart = Dead
I like all of the weapon, not sure about the dead rising one.
So long as your weapon has the strength of your nakama behind you, even a fan can pierce the heavens in a jap game.
The writer thinks Gunblades are bad? Play Tales of Symphonia, one of the characters uses cards as a primary weapon..
