Would You Pay for an EA Access Subscription on PS4?

Push Square: "Whether you like it or not, gaming is gradually becoming much more service driven. The wheels have been in motion for a while, with Season Passes and long-tail downloadable content business models designed to keep you spending more on a single game for longer. However, the announcement of EA Access overnight – a PlayStation Plus-esque subscription service tied specifically to EA Games published releases – seemingly represents the end goal for the Redwood-based giant. But is it something that you’d actually spend money on?"

Nope, doubt i'll bother with PlayStation Now either

liquidhalos1393d ago

I would have liked it. What a shame

No Way, I would rather stick a banana up me Jaxie and enter a Gorilla enclosure!!!!

We all know EA is using this scam as a trojan horse to get into people console and wallets, then all of a sudden KABLAMBO micro-transactions and pay to win and all sorts of money making schemes!

Not bothered about paying $30 for outdated sports games that u'll be able to pick for $5 each as soon as the new iteration come out. Ps+ is much better value with a betters ellection of games.

Also i understand why boners are seeing this as the 2nd coming and claiming a moral victory with the all negativity that has encircled the xbone this year...but its not really that exciting lets be honest.

Could care less about EA's online service. The only game they have that I have any interest in is Battlefield but even that's dwindling.

Hellsvacancy1392d ago

Yeah BF is the only series I cared about, but after the awful BF4 and the soon to be awful Hardline my love for the series has faded

The only other EA published game I care about is Portal 2

I've yet to purchase BF4, so for half the original price I could get it and numerous other games, plus discounts and early access.

Win, win

I agree too many idiots on this site handing out disagrees. BF4 is still priced at 59 dollars last time i checked (last week) that's only 1 game. 30 dollars is not a bad deal to play all does games for a year.

And you have to option to subscribe for just one month if you don't want the full year.

I think Sony fanboys are annoyed by this and Sony corporation itself is annoyed by this because they're pricing for streaming games now looks like a rip off.

We're all trying to have a civilized discussion. Can you go somewhere else to fuel the flame war?

G20WLY1393d ago (Edited 1393d ago )

Not a chance. EA (and Activision, for that matter) are daylight robbers and are among very few developers whose games I only ever buy second hand long after release, in order to avoid the usual bug-infested, over-priced launch efforts.

These developers need to learn; it's not okay to release an unfinished game and then slowly patch it up over the following year. I will not reward them with my hard-earned cash at the best of times - and you ask if I will pay them upfront?! Are you CRAZY? lol

I'd like to see how this all plays out before I committed to it. Let X1 be the Guinea pigs.
