It seems that Ubisoft's isn't laying idle when it comes to the next installment in the Watch Dogs Series, and they aren't shy about it.
Will be pumped out yearly and if needed be rushed out the door full of bugs and glitches before COD. Oh boy i just CAN wait. How about Ubisoft concentrate on making a Beyond good and evil HD release to be quickly followed by BG&E 2.
Well, if you read the email the article is sensationalizing, it doesn't really give that impression. It's just a survey asking how to improve the next game. Given how long it takes for these games to be developed (mapping and modeling an entire city), it wouldn't surprise me at all if they have begun basic production of the next installment. I'm sure it is in their development cycle to be out in about 2-3 years, spaced in order to avoid self-competition with their other IPs such as Assassin's Creed, The Division, etc. A small survey asking for Watch_Dogs feedback while it's fresh on gamers' minds doesn't really change that expectation.
There already is a Beyond Good & Evil HD.
Yep! It's on PS3 and is very fun. I dunno if it was a 1080P but still looking good:-)
I highly doubt this is proof it is coming soon. No question there will be a watch dogs 2 but if they are only getting feedback now for watchdogs expect the sequel to be at least two years away if not more. It is no Assassin's Creed where planing a head is a given (to make it a yearly franchise). Games this big don't get get developed within a year
Are we really ready for this now?
Oh boy a sequel to Watch Dogs.
LET IT DIE BY FIRE!
I hope it's not too soon.
it's coming next month!
Noo Noo Noo Watch Dogs was the most disappointing game this year so far an I for one reject this an hope it fails.. Here's a suggestion, Finish Rainbow Six already an stop worrying about stale IP's
Yay more teases and announcements of games that wont came for several years. Gotta love this /s
Let the milking commence
Already sold it without beating it. I enjoyed it at first, but I was expecting a better story. :/ Bit of a letdown.
Good foundation but alot of improvements to be made before i would consider buying another one.
I agree. I just completed the survey. The game reminds me of the first Assassin's Creed. Over-hyped, good-but-not-great, but foreshadowing of things to come. I think the series has enormous potential. Here are some of my suggestions for the inevitable sequel: 1) Flesh-out the character of Aiden Pearce more (or scrap him altogether) 2) Get rid of those damn annoying police helicopters 3) Improve the driving mechanics 4) Hire a crime novelist to write the script (James Elroy, Dennis Lehane, etc.) 5) Build on the already solid hacking mechanics, which I believe is the game's best feature 6) Improve the quality and variety of the licensed tracks in the game (the music was garbage compared to GTAV). Assassin's Creed II was infinitely better than AC1. Let's hope that Ubisoft spends at least a couple of years developing the sequel before rolling out the yearly iterations of the franchise. Tru_
The biggest annoyance about those helicopters wasn't the fact they exist. It was the fact we could look directly above us while driving. So you had to get out of the car to get rid of it then get back in the car to get away. It was illogical
I agree with most of this. No Aiden. New City and new protagonist hopefully. instead of scrapping the helicopters, allow us to steal one ;)
Watch Dogs was far from perfect but it was a lot of fun. Some of the side quests were sub par. For example, most of the Fixer Contracts for cash where lame - it was easier to build up cash reserves just by hacking bank accounts. However, the CTOS and Gang Hideout side quests were great because they required you to think strategically and rewarded you with xp points. One of the benefits of sequels is that they give developers a chance to refine the game play. Hopefully, Ubisoft will be able to that with Watch Dogs 2.
it just a greedy company and some day they will mis the track
This is the type of game that needs to be on a 3 year cycle at the very LEAST.
All i am going to say is if you played the game then you saw the hint that was dropped. CToS 2.0 coming in 2015.. that alone told me to expect a new game next year. And if they stick to the story line Aiden will be going up against DedSec
Get rid of Aiden and I might consider looking into it.
Where's all the dogs.Maybe there will be dogs like in COD Ghosts.Big dogs, small dogs, maybe even hot dogs.
maybe there are hot dogs in the game somewhere. I found a half-eaten hamburger :)
Was it yummy.
This series has potential, but it needs a lot of improving. Please get rid of the chase sequences. They aren't so bad occasionally ,but it's annoying and repetitive to end almost every mission with one.
ubisoft wanting to bring this game out so soon its like chickens at the farm laying gold eggs. honestly the first sucked i did not like it whatsoever it looked great for its own reasons but the thing that put me way off is the continuous hack fest that plagued the single-player experiance all i wanted to do was PLAY THE SINGLE PLAYER story mode i got about 10 missions into the story and after the first hack i was like i don't get the point of this? and then after the 3rd hack put the game down and never returned to play it.
Dude... You can turn off the online hacking so you don't get interrupted. It's right there in the menu.
This is Ubisoft. I'm surprised they don't have Watch Dogs 2 coming out this Holiday season.
Hopefully they will be a little more honest this time around.
Good I like this game more then AC so yes give me WD2 in holiday season 2016.
I hope it doesn't come out any time soon. It was terrible.
When they were developing Watch Dogs 1 they said they were saving features for the next game. Nothing new here.
It's bad enough that they crank out an AssCreed every year. Now this. It always kinda baffles me when sequels are talked about so soon after the release of a game. Even worse was when people were talking about a Titanfall 2 BEFORE the first one was even out yet... This is the business aspect of the industry, I guess. Ubisoft even came out and said they're not interested in making games that won't become franchises. It's just kind of ironic that these games they begin to churn out really aren't that great...at least not in my opinion, anyway.
But this game was a total flop!
