The special moon mission in the Destiny beta is now over, but here’s a gameplay video from the lunar mission to show us what it looked like for those who missed it.
It was fun. Looking forward to have time for exploring.
Wait, so that was it? Like a 3 minute mission?
I was thinking the same thing. I've never played Halo or an MMO, but is this par for the course for this type of game?
It took me about 45 minutes to do that mission. But I never just do the missions in games if there is exploration available. Unfortunately I only found 1 of the golden chests that are on the moon. Between my internet going out, then not being able to get a good connection to the Destiny servers for about 25 minutes, I didn't have much time to play it.
This is the very last part to the mission. Most of it was skipped, why i don't know. Guess they wanted to show just the boss fight.
It's a nit pick but I found it funny that you move at the same speed and gravitational feel on the Moon as you do on Earth. Different planets that have different gravity levels should play slightly different. Could add a new dynamic to going to new environments imo.
The explanation for that probably lies somewhere in the suits that the guardians are wearing. I'm sure they have some sort of gravity control. But I do like the idea of different gravity on different planets effecting game play.
