CanadianGamer writes : Destiny Beta finally hit the PlayStation Network today on both, the PlayStation 3 and PS4 and gamers who pre-ordered the title all took the market by storm to get their hands on what is expected to be a big blockbuster in 2014. We at CanadianGamer.net got a cold and after a couple hours of gameplay we're ready to share our thoughts on Bungie's next IP.Destiny is described as an online multiplayer action role-playing first-person shooter video game in a "mythic science fiction" open world setting. Bungie and Activision teamed up on a big 10 year agreement that will surely lead to more title to more games in the series.
The beta weights in at about 14 GB of data download but managed to download pretty quickly on our end. Right from the start, Bungie did a good job by making sure its own servers would handle all of today heavy traffic. This is all part of the beta testing and their servers we're very well prepared. The in-game data is all downloaded through the game and not on the PSN which might be a good thing. It took us about 90 minutes to download on a 30 Mbit/s connection.
Bungie - "Join our development team to see the new updates arriving with Destiny 2: The Final Shape. Releasing on June 4, 2024."
Amid ongoing anxiety within Bungie following layoffs last year, the studio is now preparing for another shakeup, this time on Marathon.
Talk about mismanaged Bungie is a studio of tremendous potential and have made some of the greatest shooters to date. Sony pushed them to just make another Destiny style game and consult on other studios live service games and are now getting thrown under a bus as the pivot away from predominantly gaas games is unfolding.
I'd love to see a world where Bungie can focus on telling great sci fi stories again away from a live service dungeon but we all know that's a pipe dream
This studio has had three owners and its never worked well with any of them....Management has issues
Destiny 2’s game director Joe Blackburn is stepping down ahead of The Final Shape, leaving Tyson Green to take the reins of the PS5 and Xbox FPS.
As someone who bought every story DLC for DESTINY 2 but not every season. the first thing I would do as game director is , if anybody pre-orders The ?Final Shape , they will be able to play all older DLC and seasons with purchase of FINAL SHAPE. . I think that would bring back a lot of DESTINY 2 plsyers who have not experienced the seasons a chance to play season activities before Final Shape comes out.
The world and atmosphere is simply beautiful. I was in awe when I saw the big white moon on that one safe tower that you're taken to by your ghost. The sunset in the beginning of the game is really breath taking too. I honestly can't wait for the retail game.
Having a great time exploring this amazing world that Bungie have built. In fact, I setup my Bravia TV to simulated 3d and I recommend anyone to try it and take a look just for the experience. It looks awesome.
Peter dinklage sounds awful
The beta is amazing. I cannot wait to see what they have in store for us when the full release hits!
I played the Alpha and now the Beta and I just can't wait for the finished product in September. It will be brilliant!
