Globe Trotting Uncharted Movie to Start Production 'Very Early Next Year'

Push Square, via Zap2It: "Nathan Drake’s big screen debut is very much back on track, with production set to start early next year. The cinematic adaptation of Naughty Dog’s blockbuster Uncharted brand has been on and off more times than a hazard light over the past few years, but director Seth Gordon – who’s known for a variety of projects, including Horrible Bosses and Identity Thief – is certain that the movie will actually get off the ground this time."

The story is too old to be commented.

Chris Pine should play Drake and Rose Leslie should play The Chick ( forgot her name) and Bruce Campbell as Sully..

I don't think anyone should play anyone!! Games to Movies never work.

It's not going to be the same without Nolan, Emily and Richard. I still think Sony should take a gamble and get them for the role. They owe them that much for bringing the characters to life in the game.

Nolan might look old but I'd rather have someone who IS Drake then someone who is trying to be like him.

Bulk up routine, strict diet and some hollywood make up and Nolan will be good to go. I'm pretty sure if he was told he could star in the film Nolan would start training for it the second he heard the news, it would be a big deal for him.

Is Nolan the best actor ever, no but he can act and since he's basically acting out a character he's done in the games he's the best person for the role. Not even the best actor in the world could replicate Drake because it's not their role.

Nolan - Drake
Emily - Elena
Richard - Sully

Big Star - Roman
Big Star - Navaro
Big Star - Eddie Raja

Add some cameos here and there for big name actors and you could market the shit out of the film with them while having lesser known actors for the main roles. It's been done before.

Honestly they'd be better off scrapping this all together and make the Last of Us film first. David O Russell and Neil Burger eventually quit so hopefully Seth Gordon will aswell.
