Chris of RGN writes, "Divinity: Original Sin is truly DIVINE! No, but seriously, it is a refreshing sign in a slow genre like old school RPGs. If you are looking for an Elder Scrolls type of RPG, then you will be disappointed. But, if you were lucky enough to enjoy Baldur’s Gate 2 way back when (in 2000) then you should be pleasantly surprised, as this is a modern version of Baldur’s Gate. Baldur’s Gate and Divinity go hand in and hand with a lot of their mechanics and that isn’t a flaw or a disadvantage for Divinity. While the character creation isn’t too extensive it does its job well. The gameplay and overall mechanics of the game are what makes it truly great though."
