The devil is in the DLC, so is the beauty

MWEB GameZone writes: "DLC, or expansion content is one of the more controversial topics in the gaming industry. For many it's a complete waste of money, only to be bought when heavily discounted much later in a game's lifespan. For others, it's water of a duck's back - and their disposable income gets poured into it. Others like myself want complete games, with DLC and expansions only being available later to supplement strong design." (Industry, Mass Effect 3)

Interesting read. I do think that dev abuse DLC though, but it can also extend the longevity of a game. As long as DLC doesn't replace making a properly finished game initially.

That's a pet peeve of mine. I'm tired of paying for content that should be in a game to start off with.
