VideoGamer: "Bethesda's Pete Hines has said that Doom fans won't just assume the latest instalment will be awesome. He may be right, but can the series ever be the force it once was?"
It should be at least a moderate success based off the name alone. Casual shooter gamers probably don't even know who Carmack is.
We want Fallout 4!
if it will be made for casual/dumbed down hand holding gameplay YES it will , if don't it Would be a success
Couldn't agree more!!
If it's as fun as Wolfenstein reboot, then I'll be OK with that. Wolfenstein has been a pleasant surprise. I went in with zero expectations and it's been awesome. After Doom 3 I have similarly low expectations for the Doom reboot. Not every game needs to be as sophisticated as Far Cry.
Why wouldn't Doom be a success? Wolfenstein has already proven that there is a demand for this type of FPS.
Wolfenstein is great, Doom can follow the same way, i hope.
The fact that it is cross generation makes me loose faith in the next Doom
Wolfenstein is cross-gen and its fantastic. Cross-gen games don't mean they are automatically bad...
Why would it be? Wolfenstein was fuqing great!
They will probably ruin the game. Basically if there is a relationship of any kind formed, it's just not a Doom game. Doom is about one Marine facing an army of demons with big guns. No friends, no girls, no family back story, just guns and demons. Trying to make this game story driven will ruin it in my opinion.
Wolfenstein is really great so I think they can pull off a Doom reboot I'd play it
