GearNuke: "The weather system showcased recently is still being worked on, and is only going to improve upon the game's launch this October."
if this looks so good already the final build will be overkill sweet
I hope it don't actually get downgraded, its bad enough that it is a racing game at 30fps.
Lol. The developer was on NeoGaf earlier today saying its already been improved. So you don't have to worry or troll :) http://www.neogaf.com/forum...
Why does everyone on N4G think sharing concerns equates to trolling?
Insecurity, mostly. On topic, since it is 'free', no big deal to me, but I'd never pay for this game.
@Geekman Because if you actually read this story, you would know that they also quoted Bradshaw saying the same thing. In fact, its his quote that the title is referring to. 1. Didn't read the story. 2. Assumed the worse. 3. Trademarks of a starving troll.
30 fps is just fine for a racer! Need for speed was fantastic. I would love to see the X1 try and run this at 30fps. Holy crap the downplay of this game is at a record high since that weather video came out.
@Geekman...really depends on WHAT you decide to share and HOW you decide to share it.
Just keep that framerate up during the weather and it'll be just fine.
It's probably one of the reasons it's 30fps so they can squeeze in all this extra cool stuff and keep a solid frame rate.
Agreed. What I find most shocking though is the fact that a few months ago it was still 30 FPS but didn't look THIS good. This is the nature of optimizations though.
^ LOL, what did he say that was biased!! Someone is salty about the PlayStation apparently.
"I understand that you say that you aren't scared of being fired for having a bias, but I would still like to write your manager to express my concerns. Please PM and let me know which gamestop you work at and what your first name is. Thanks" I haven't been in a Gamestop since I changed cities, but the two I used to go in where I used to live had a clear bias for 360. I reserved a PS3 exclusive once and was asked which platform I wanted it on. Regardless… wow man. You need a vacation.
What the hell did I just read?
Write to my manager ? You are aware I am the manager at my EB games right ? And you should also be aware I am in Australia lol. Kinda off topic tho don't you think ? And even if somehow none of that mattered I am also very close friends with the regional manager as in family so why would I care if they thought I was bias?
@corvus Oh wow Corvus you really are crazy. ROFL He's worried that Flutterby is working at a game stop and due to his bias is pushing the PS4 over the Xbox One. Talk about being a delusional Xbox fan. ROFL I guess your going to send letters to every store that sells more PS4s than Xbox Ones right?
@Corvusmd So are you really bad intentioned enough to actually contact someones place of employment knowing you could get them fired? What if the guy has Kids & Mortgage to support? What kind of a person does that? Wow, that's Disgraceful. @Flutterby For calling me Pixie Dust, no hard feelings Sand Worm! ;)
You can see that the raindrops are doing a mirror effect on the left and right side of the car. It still looks real nice though.
Game is looking great, just wish they hadn't announced it so prematurely. No playable demo yet, it really sucks.
Driveclub is looking very good. If we get type of quality from delays then I can't complain...
is the tuning of cars being patched later?
Only when N4G patches out all the trolls it breeds.
im guessing thats a no.. womp womp
No, the game is an arcade racer not a sim, it is designed around being fun first and not about real life attributes.
No because it is a sim/arcade racer... Not full racing sim. Gran Turismo fills in the racing sim category. I am actually more interested in Drive Club personally. I know you are trolling but I wanted to answer seriously.
"No because it is a sim/arcade racer... Not full racing sim. Gran Turismo fills in the racing sim category. I am actually more interested in Drive Club personally. DC is more arcade than sim, and the intent is for people to win races according to skill, not because they spent a long time changing parts and tweaking them.
The actual interview the devs did months ago said the exact thing you said, they said they didn't want customised cars because they don't want anyone having advantages they want it to be even ground when racing, I can't remember who it was but it was even posted on this site I think.
Not just win races, its about what you do during the race. E.g. top speed, drifting etc. This is a great interview with some awesome gameplay: http://www.youtube.com/watc...
The more i see, read and hear about this game the more excited i get. However my concern with this is on the original Motorstorm Evo when all out but after that the graphics started to just be above average. Terrain didnt really deform like it did in the original parts really didnt fly off your vehicle like it did in the original. Basically what i'm saying is i don't want them to go all out on the original DriveClub then not be as passionate about the squeal.
