"I really like Yu-Gi-Oh! I know – even in a community filled with Pokémon and Animal Crossing fanboys alike, saying you like Yu-Gi-Oh can still summon a furrowed brow or two. “Wasn’t it just some fad? Isn’t it dead?” some would ask. Originally, I would point to the tremendous World Championship and Tag Force games as proof that the card and video game series still has something to say, but after playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal: World Duel Carnival, the first Yu-Gi-Oh game on 3DS, I just don’t know anymore."

Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal World Duel Carnival Review - Glitch Cat

Glitch Cat - Overall, Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal World Duelist Carnival took the best mechanics of past Yu-Gi-Oh! games and eliminated them out to create one of the worst Yu-Gi-Oh! games ever. There is nothing fans can enjoy in this game other than the cards, and in reality it needs urgent fixing as soon as possible. All I hope for is for Konami to learn from their mistakes and eventually make another Yu-Gi-Oh! where what’s new is actually new, and that the most important aspect of a trading card game, playing with other players, is not taken out of the mix.
