Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes Review - Inner Geek

The controls just feel so snappy, like a perfect evolution from previous games in the series. Snake has never been this nimble or well animated. A squeeze of the trigger snaps you straight into aiming, whether you’re stood up, laid prone, or even on your back – the gun points where you tell it and Snake writhes around to compensate. (Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One) 4/5

Technically I would give it a 7/10 since it is very good but the controls are a bit sluggish. The camera is way zoomed in (most people play on a huge TV and the cam assumes you're on a smart phone). The way snake sticks to every wall and surface he gets near is HORRIBLE. Lastly the textures are a mixed bag but I can forgive this since it is a big open world. Overall it is a good looking game. (PS4)

That said, as a $30 game, it gets a 3/10. This should have been a free demo minus the extra mission (PS4 version Deja vu). The Deja vu mission was awesome, as a long time mgs player that experienced mgs on PS1. Even with that included it shouldn't have been more than most DLC - $15.

Even as a huge mgs fan, I would say buy it used for $10 or less.

Your not a huge MGS fan this is by no means demo material. The game while small in scope has massive content. It's clear your not good at the game because Big Boss...not Snake since he hasn't been Naked Snake since Snake Eater...does not stick to all surfaces you have to press up against them. I'm playing it on PS4 and the textures are insane on my 60 inch 3 OLED Samsung TV. You say the controls are sluggish...when...like when your carrying a prisoner...The controls are butter smooth...I just think you such at the game.

It's an easy 9 out of 10. I know I've dumped well over 100 hours into it and I still have one trophy left to get. Anyone who reads the comment above mine disregard he has no clue what he's talking about...If you don't believe hop over to YouTube and see for yourself.
