One of the most underrated and under appreciated features. I absolutely use it all the time. Even my GF uses it and when either of want to do something else as long as the background volume isn't too high a simple Xbox go to.....does the trick. Snap is also nice especially if a game is on.

One of the most unwanted and under used features of the xbox one more like.

DeathOfTheFanBoy1619d ago

Nope, it's a fantastic feature, if PS4 was able to do this it would be the second coming according to N4G!

In my home, the kids will be watching Netflix, then the wife will swap over instantly to super nanny or some rubbish like that then I can jump instantly back on to Titanfall etc, it's effortless and makes my PS3 seem like some kind of cute antique

-DOTFB Still dont know why anyone would want this for anything more than just saying the name of the channel instead of using the remote. My tv already has hdmi in, not sure why i would need one on my console.

I think the TV features of the XB one have a lot of appeal in the USA where it was designed to be the perfect fit with cable boxes there. It works there so it's understandable why many Americans love it. In mainland Europe, Australia, Africa and UK where set top boxes are varied it doesn't have the same appeal. Also TV is changing and there are more options available for streamed channels. BBC, Apple, Google, Netflix and more all think that getting your TV via cable boxes will become a thing of the past. So Xbox One TV is a big win in Middle America but currently a redundant feature in the rest of the world.

Yes I got my tv hooked up thru my x1

MikePWV1619d ago

I won't use it until On Demand works on it which will be never. Doesn't look like there is a XFINITY app in development either so isn't looking good.

I like the interface better compared to the garbage interface on the X1 Platform.

Magnes1619d ago

Just get the x1 DVR from xfinity it does voice command through your phone via a free app.

Lol @disagrees look it up its a fact how can someone disagree with that.

See for yourself..

Tedakin1619d ago

Wait, we can watch TV through the Xbox one!????

JK I love the feature in spite of the odd TV TV hate. It's awesome flipping through everything that quick, yes, with your voice.

Hell my 2 year old uses it. She comes in the room says Xbox on. Xbox watch Disney Jr bam she is set. Heck she is now starting to figure out Netflix with her voice. Love how at any time you can swap to anything at any time.
