New-gen versions of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel not ruled out

GR-UK writes: Franchise director at Gearbox Software Matt Armstrong and 2K Australia's Tony Lawrence joined us for a talk on the upcoming Borderlands: The Pre-sequel detailing their collaboration, increased character interaction, how the combat changes with a lunar location and the choice of platforms.

"I guess we're full on developing that PS3, 360, and PC kind of game," said Lawrence. "And we really believe in that too, I mean all the players of Borderlands 2 are all playing on those consoles. That's the choice they've got. So we want to reward those guys and give them the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel experience on that console. I mean if fans say we'd really want this on a next-gen console, well, we'll think about that. But right now we're concentrating on the consoles we have."

No interest in going back to my 360.. So this is something I'd love to see brought to current gen

ZodTheRipper1622d ago

It would still be a old-gen game at it's core, just with better resolution and framerate. I'm not really interested in that... just start working on Borderlands 3 already.

Ya.. But tried to finish up bl2 dlc not long ago and couldn't stand it.. Aiming etc felt so clunky..

Its likely a personal preference thing for me.. But ive always been that way, I never play old systems once I get something better.

But yeah.. I'll take bl3 any day.. Lol

I would think with the interest in going to the moon, that a Borderworlds wouldn't be a bad idea. I had heard rumor of the idea being tossed around some time ago and I think that would be amazing. New characters and new races even.

Borderlands also has the advantage of looking gorgeous regardless of old or current gen tech. The comic book-esque aesthetic ages quite well.

Artista 1622d ago

true, plus they'll bring this game over eventually.

ginsunuva1622d ago

That would be a waste. This game looks like it's BL2 dlc. No one wants it anyway.

Why not work on new IP or BL3 instead of supporting ports?

"I mean all the players of Borderlands 2 are all playing on those consoles."

No, a lot of them have or want to move on.

If there wasn't such a lack of good games coming out this year, I'd drop my pre-order in an instant.

Randostar1618d ago

You shouldn't really be talking shit about what they are doing, you're directly supporting them by spending $60 on this game.

Or play borderlands on PC lol I have ps3 and ps4 but borderlands has always been best suited for my PC. However I do agree besides that
