If you're a PlayStation 4 owner, there's no reason to avoid purchasing the definitive edition of The Last Of Us. It just makes sense to own.
Cant wait for this game to come out so I cam stop seeing the same articles being reposted every day. "The last of us lools amazing in 1080p 60 fps" "reasons you shoulf buy that last of us" "ive bought the last of us three times and now im buying it remaster, heres why" Like chill out man the game had its time to shine in 2013 and for Christ sake SHOW SOME GAME PLAY INSTEAD OF TALKING ABOUT HOW IT LOOKS ANS INSIDERS! I SWEAR it comes out in 3 weeks
^typing fast on my phone at work leads to alot of errors:(
TLOU & GTA V definitely move fast... a year later an already Remastered ? The thirst is real...
The thirst for money? Thats always been real.
not coincidentally since that's also the year in which new consoles have come out. It's not like this is going to be trend it's just that we just made a switch so we have the hardware and it doesn't take a big team to do so it's a gap filler.
I already own the The Last of Us. I have no intention of paying forking up an extra $50 to play an upgraded version only a year after the original release.
@Blacklash93 If you don't intend on buying the PS4 version, why bother announce it to the World? Just don't buy it, no need to comment. SMH ;/
How dare he share his opinion in a comment section!
Because he's very effectively making the point that the writer of this article is talking utter crap.
Seems unfair for you to be allowed to state your agreement with the editorial (below this reply) and not for Blacklash to state his disagreement.
Me too, I am fine with the ps3 version. Hoping the release date hurries up cause all these topics are becoming comical.
so you'd buy it if it was released in 2015 or later? Or maybe a day after the set release date? Lots of DLC content in with the full game and graphical improvements 1080p and 60 frames per second is worth it in my eyes. Ah well, to each his own :) P.S. "Paying" or "Forking", which is it gonna be? ;)
Each to thier own. I myself am really looking forward to a remastered version. esspecially with the extra DLC included. I've always wanted to play a 2nd playthrough but once I heard it was coming to ps4 I though that that i'd hold off & would be a great reason to upgrade consoles with one of, if not the best game I have played this generation. Sure there are many other great games out there but it was a real stand out for me.... again.... each to thier own.
Sell your PS3 version to help offset the PS4 version cost so it'll only be $20 or so. A man sold his art book and steelbook edition for $140 total after only paying $80 for them so the new version is already paid for.
Yep even if you beat the game 20x it's a must own. I can't wait.
I agree with the author... The Last of Us is such an engaging piece of art. The intimacy of the story is truly gaming for grown ups. Sure, you can run through the game with the mindset of a shooter, but that would defeat the point of a truly wonderful experience. I already own and beat the PS3 version twice, and I'm buying the PS4 version. Seriously, newcomers and replayers alike. Take your time with this masterpiece. Read into everything. Even posters and wall grafitti. Every inch of this game is telling you a story. I honestly hope voice/motioncap actors get their own 'mainstream' award ceremonies. Because, gaming has come of age.
Exactly! This game is for the more patient/explorer gamer. There's so much to do and learn about the story it takes a long time to get through it all. This game isn't intended to be ran through like some generic shooter or speed run record. There's a lot to take in and I can't wait to play it again with all the DLC included for $50.
It is one of the best games for PS3, and I think it will be one of the best on PS4 (IMO).
I can't wait to experience TLOU for the first time on PS4.
This is a VERY legit reason to buy it. If you haven't played it its a VERY good game. And I'm sure the PS4 version is stunning, BUT rebuking a game you played multiple times over the last 12 months is the definition of graphics over game play and storyline. Its your $$ so its your right, but trying to convince others to do so is like saying you should rematch Game of Thrones on Blueray after already seeing it on DVD instead of buying The Walking Dead.
Greatest game I ever played!!! And I'm counting down the days till i can this Masterpiece again!!!
How long have you been playing games?
A very long time! And yes its the best game i ever played! What's your point?? Oh let me guess if its not Mario,Zelda,HalfLife etc it can't be that good?? Believe me TLOU is 1 of the greatest games ever period!
Good thing you didn't make a wager on your guess... Who knew that a simple question as a point of reference would elicit such a rant. You can stand down and put the weapons away, the question was not that deep.
Are you actually implying?
they should do a survey to see how many 360 owners bought a PS4 for this game.
I buy all the consoles every gen. Certainly did not buy a 4 to play this game again.
A survey to see how many 360 owners purchases a ps4 to play a remastered ps3 game that is not even out? Ummmm, okay.... How long have we even known about the remastered game?
I will agree its a must own if you have not already purchased it for the PS3.
Well i didnt play it on my ps3, but i will buy it for my ps4. Iam hot for the slow paced multiplayer...
I bought PS4 day one just for the POSSIBILITY of a The Last of Us sequel ; that's how good The Last of Us was.
Soooo..you bought a ps4 for game that might not even happen or could be at least 2 to 3 years away...at which that time you probably could get a ps4 for significantly cheaper? I guess that's feasible.... I did by a ps4 simply because Sony made it.
It's a nice thing that people call anticipation and he said "possibility", he wants it to happen like others i'm guessing. Also, why buy a PS4 that far down the line when there are loads of titles that he could enjoy whilst anticipating a sequel for the last of us or the remastered version. This may seems slightly hypocritical: stop being so negative towards peoples opinions, fucking Christ people have their reasons for purchasing things and why does that bother you so much. You may not be very interested in the remastered release but some people are for what I see to be pretty good reasons from what's going on with the game. go project your negativity elsewhere plz B0ss
Wall of text in 5...4...3...2...1... This is an open forum where people are free to exchange their ideas, if you don't like it, then move on. Nothing about my comment was negative... The poster stated the reason why he purchased a day one console, and if that is their reason, they could have saved money as Sony will be pushing out this console for years....unless they are wanting a first run edition. Other titles were not mentioned, so I'm not going to assume they want to play the other titles like you did. Then I ended that the reason for my ps4 purchase was just outlandish, if not more. So you are not being slightly hypocritical, you are full blown hypocritical for projecting your negative emotional response on my post. You apparently are the one that's bothered. Ohh, and if you read further down, you will see my plans for purchasing the remastered. So please take your advice and go project your negativity somewhere else.. As well as your need for profanity to express yourself. Thanks
Purchased the ps3 version on Amazon during black Friday, never played it, as I sold it to Target at profit.... Guess that profit will go towards the ps4 version.
People buying a game they already own is just going to encourage a lack of imagination within the industry. People really do have issues.
Or maybe their just buying it because they didn't have a ps3/ didnt buy it when they had the chance to.
I said "people buying a game they already own". Pretty sure it's not that difficult to understand I'm not talking about people that haven't already bought the game.
Beat this game 6 times on my PS3. Gonna beat it 6 more times on my Ps4. It's that good. Not to mention the multiplayer, it's that addicting.
As the post above said, I am curious to see how many 360 players jumped to Sony for this gen. This game does deserve all the hype it gets because it does set a new standard in storytelling when it comes to games. Can't wait to play it. I never played the MP, was it really good? I watch ppl play it on Twitch and thought it looked really fun and entertaining.
I am one, loved my 360 but after the abysmal xbone i am sony all the way.
I beat the last of us 5 or 6 times now, so for me it isn't a just own. GTA V coming is more of a must own, in my opinion.
For people that never played it before, it will probably be one of, or the best game they play this year.
I should play TLOU again because it has more polygons. Great.
It doesn't have more polygons: it has more pixels and frames
I'll pick it up down the line if it sinks to about 15 quid. I'm not paying more than that for a year old game.
I can't remember the last game I finished. I have played maybe half of the games I have on Steam. I don't have time to re-play a game, and I sure am not going to drop $450 for a console and a game to play a slightly upgraded version of a game I already played half of 60months ago. I only have to Spend $50 to get 4 games, 3 of which I haven't played, with 100 levels of the best multiplayer in console history. Halo 1 I played 15 years ago on a system with 2% of Xbones power. Halo 2 gets a massive 10 year 10x power upgrade.
Remakes are for fans and people that haven't played the game. If you're neither of those then don't worry. I don't buy the argument that resources are wasted on remakes. Would a sequel to TLOU or Uncharted 4 be finished quicker if the remaster wasn't made? Maybe. Or maybe there'd be more contract employees without a job.
I loved the game, brilliant but i dont think this remaster is going to be that amazing, especially not $80 au amazing.
Well don't you just love how 1 minute ago there was an article covering how this may not be worth and now theres an article saying it will...I love how excited I am to play this and i would love it even more if these scum bags didn't play with us just to get clicks.
