Ever since E3 there has been no shortage of confusion on how this Bayonetta 2 promotion works. At first, Nintendo said that all those who purchase Bayonetta 2 will receive a digital version of the original Bayonetta. Then, territories like Europe announced that Bayonetta 1 would actually be on its own separate disc. The American website for Bayonetta only added to the confusion when it listed a statement saying that those who purchase Bayonetta 2 digitally actually would not get the original for free, only those who bought the game at retail.
Adding to the confusion is Amazon Canada, which in a response to a customer stated that the original Bayonetta would actually be on disc.
Bayonetta's character design and abilities have changed a lot since the series debuted in 2009, with new costumes and dark arts in every title.
Many fans have been expressing their disappointment with Bayonetta 3. Here's why the recently released game is a clear step down from Bayonetta 2.
I thought they focused on big kaiju like fights which felt gimmicky and thy brought this new character in to try and get away from the leading star
*Spoilers*
I mean they pretty much killed 3 big characters. They killed Jeanne, Luka and Bayonetta herself and it's not the fact they died it's how they died, we've seen Jeanne and Bayonetta survive countless things yet they go out by the lamest ways possible.
Nintendo has updated Bayonetta 2 to version 1.2.0 and they have also shared the patch notes for this update on the Nintendo Switch.
While I would love for this to be true, this is most likely (would help to have the actual E-Mail) a CS rep talking out their ***. It happens all the time and about as much of a confirmation as someone posting it will be a disc on N4G.

"Hopefully Nintendo clarifies this situation sooner rather than later, because I need to know how much shelf space to clear out when I buy Bayonetta this October."
I don't see why someone needs to point this out, but if it is a disc release, it will 99.9999999999% just be an insert in the Bayonetta 2 case. In case you never noticed, every Wii U case (even weird ones like the green Luigi U one) have these pointless plastic clamps in the middle of the case. These clamps are logically there to hold a piece of plastic designed to hold another disc and most likely how they will handle a physical Bayonetta instead of a full blown physical version or even a larger case.
I'm willing to bet it's one disc. The first game fit on 360 disc just fine. Wii U uses proprietary bluerays so there should be more than enough room for that game AND the first one.If I'm not mistaken all the spare space on the ps3 release made for long load times. Hope that's not the case on Wii U
It's been said since the E3 that the game wont have Bayonetta 1 when bought from the Eshop. This said, at least for me, it's obvious the extra will be in the disc version only, because it'll come in the form of a... well, a disc.
they just keep giving lol, this game gets better and better like every other day XD
Bayonetta is on WiU *sigh*
Who wants it on PC?
