Jeff Gerstmann Issues a Letter From GiantBomb

In the last few days there's been a lot of talk about what Giant Bomb is and isn't. What it stands for and what it won't stand for. A lot of people have made a lot of assumptions about what we do and how we act, and what we tolerate or even condone on our message boards and live chats. Tell 'em, Jeff.

That whole debacle was just a mess for everyone.

Yeah, I'm glad Jeff took the time to immediately respond to the situation, and also to reiterate the way Giantbomb does business. And doing it in a professional manner, without calling out people, calling people names and telling its fanbase to "F**k Off".

Those "critics" on twitter really need to learn a thing or two from Jeff. This is a perfect response to them AND the people who were attacking them (whether or not that was warranted). It shows that they can rise above the BS that people like to write, and is one of the reasons I respect his opinions as a reviewer.

That one simple rule is concise, but still provides plenty of guidance for how to explore Giant Bomb and the internet in general. It's a travesty that people are so ignorant and mindlessly outspoken that they can't even follow that simple, four-word-long rule.

I've been reading Jeff's reviews for almost 15 years. I think he is one of the most honest people on the web.

Giantbomb has been a site that rose out of the ashes of a broken system. I love how they handle themselves and how they have grown. Well done Jeff on the response to an utterly ridiculous and bad situation.
