Halo 5: Guardians is coming in 2015, and although VG247′s Dave Cook doesn’t consider himself a fan of the series, he’s growing keen on the Xbox One shooter.
I don't there is any doubt in anyones mind Halo 5 is going to be huge for the Xbox One.
uh no that would be halo 2 remastered
How about both Halo MC and Halo 5 Guardians will be huge system sellers for Xbox One. Chance for players to play Halo CE MP and Halo 2 MP on dedicated servers and with a healthy playerbase number would sell quite a few people. As well as Halo 5 Guardians Beta access for 3 weeks. Halo 5 Guardians being released 2 years after Xbox One launched gives the game plenty of time to be the big AAA Xbox One system seller it needs to be. The only people who have doubts about that are in denial.
My friend is a big x360 fan, he loves gears and forza, but he cant stand Halo. I guess to each its own.
I personally loved halo 4 more than the original trilogy, so i really am anticipating halo 5
Halo 4 felt to sterile/clean to me, I am a massive halo fan though and can't wait for the MCC to come out, I think 343i will have learned a lot from halo 4 and should impress with 5.
Agreed, Halo 4 added a lot of emotion to the series; not that the other lacked it, but it felt different this time around. Only thing I disliked (very minor) about the campaign was the amount of button pressing we had to do (go to this waypoint and press the button). Can't wait to see what 343 does with H5.
Im a big Playstation guy and I to love the Halo series!
Looking forward to Halo 5, can't wait to play the BETA after Christmas, hopefully we see some gameplay at RTX.
I like Halo and recognize what its done for gaming, but I just cant get past its sub standard system (Xbox One) and MS miss treatment of customers and overall shady dealings.
shady dealing you mean like psnow?
The hype is real! Can hate on Microsoft as much as you want (I know I have enough in the last 12 months) but you have to respect their ability to build IPs. Fingers crossed Halo 5 turns into a game successful enough to make FPS developers second guess whether the COD formula is the right one to be copying.
I grew up on Halo. I got a OG Xbox and Halo CE when I was. 5 years old. And what's funny about that is the fact that I was a PS2 mainly gamer and my OG Xbox was exclusively a "Halo machine" for some reason. I had so much fun playing it with my Dad, Cousin, and little brother . It' still is my favorite franchise to this day. Even though Iit lost its touch a bit since Bungie left I still love Halo.
I was probably 11yo when I got my OG Xbox + Halo for Christmas 2001(?) I can still remember playing through mission 2, and driving the Warthog for the first time. All my Uncles, and Cousins would come in and be like "holy crap! what is this!!"
Halo at 60fps is going to be INSANE!!! I hope they tighten up the game mechanics and animations! i think allot of Sony fan boys are underestimating this game, the master chief collection has all the halo master chief games and all the multi players of said games and also they are remastered at 60fps and 1080p mostly! Halo single player campaigns are some of the best fps single players in the business! the a.i is awesome(especially when not playing on easy or normal) and for me a good decent single player fps is a rarity. Not only are we getting all the single player modes which in their own have co op available too in the campaigns but we also get the multi player on dedicated servers and at 60fps! thats just how EVERY COMPETITIVE MULTI PLAYER GAME SHOULD BE!! the fact that the games mostly run at native 1080p is just a bonus! This game should move HUGE numbers of x box one consoles for MS, if this dont do it THEN NOTHING WILL!!! While i own every platform and a decent enough gaming pc i still like the X1. Yes MS should of made the console more powerful, but so should have Sony and Nintendo. Overall all the next gen consoles are underpowered and i doubt will last the 10 to 8 years which is expected. I am so looking forward to the master chief collection and halo 5, halo 4 on xbox 360 was a stunner for a game on 7 year old hard ware! and the fact it will only cost £50 is a steal! Kinda makes me think maybe running 3 operating systems in the background at the same time is whats causing the X1 to appear underpowered. It should be pumping out better performance and graphics then what we have gotten so far. LOL at all the salty fan boys who cant afford more then one platform for gaming! disagree on!!! make your selves feel better while i play on my PS4,WiiU, XBOX ONE,Gaming PC and all the consoles from previous generations while keeping it real! a good game is a good game regardless of platform!
Halo 4 not 60fps?
NO halo 4 is only 30fps on the xbox 360 and halo 5 will be 60fps on the X1! as far as i am aware on the master chief collection all the halo games will be 60fps halo 4 included!
Halo is just being run into the ground, kind of like Star Trek TNG in it's final season. The creators are gone, and all that's left is MS (and 343) trying to extract as much money from the franchise as they can. But hey, if you aren't discriminating and prefer a stale but familiar shooter to a truly innovative game, go ahead, buy into the hype!
Some of us are investing in Master Chiefs story arc. (and love it) So, yeah, they kinda have us. Plus, I have since switched to getting all my multiplats on Playstation (since NG launch) and I'm really looking forward to a something that'll have me boot up my ol' X1.
I personally love Halo 4 the most. The multiplayer was easily the most in depth and the mechanics were anything but stale.
343 has Bungie talent in a lot of key places, and the team is made up of die hard halo fans... Fans who want to do right by the series... If this was about MS simply trying to extract as much money as they can from a sinking ship, they wouldn't be investing so much into the IP....
I defiantly want a ps4.halo chief's collection is kinda selling me on x1.that game alone would bring multiplayer action for years.
Halo 2 was the definitive Halo game for me.
