Messages have begun to roll out to Xbox One Consoles around the world asking Xbox One owners to download the brand new Xbox One Preview App.
Nice. I like the heavy emphasis on community involvement Xbox One seems to be taking. Polls, feedback, previews are all great ways to continue improving the box. The Quests sound particularly interesting so I'm definitely going to register my console for this preview program.
More features for the FeatureBox....Nom...Nom!
I was wondering what this was. I already have the app, I just ignored it lol Gotta go back and get the new one now Edit: nvm, this is a completely different app apparently
Cool. I've been in the program for a while now. It's awesome. Get the updates a couple of weeks early. Good luck getting in everyone!
Was wondering what this was...love all these update
Not for myself had enough after a month of the preview app.
App looks great.. All in one place
The feedback app that's part of the new preview Dashboard app is nice. Easy way for people to report issues and the screenshot features allowing you to snapshot the issue with your text is great. I'm impressed with the Preview Dashboard App. Already used Quests, Surveys and reported an issue with Twitch ads having a glitch where the stream you're watching plays ad after ad, 4 or 5 times and sometimes never stops showing ads until you back out. What I like most is the detailed listing of all the changes and issues being worked on. It's basically a 3 piece app download. Also the temporary experimental features sampling is a nice touch. Waiting for the coming soon app that goes with the other ones. Kind of crazy having two Dashboards on the console(one game and the other almost Windows PC-like, in a control over evolution context and Console Operating System details) Was stoked to hear HDMI-In has new drivers for better performance in the latest update. Been requesting this for months along with a log similar to the system update details for apps and game updates. EDIT @matrixman92 Lots of people on reddit was confused with the *preview update app* with the new *preview Dashboard app* many deleted it thinking it was a redundant glitch.
Xbox always leading the way.
I deleted my message, not realising it was a new preview app, anyone know how I can get the message back, or get it sent again, or signup without the message?
Check your messages from the Xbox website. Maybe it's still there.
Could someone please invite me? GT: superartteacher
I'd appreciate an invite too. Alsybub
ya me too jttwister09 I got sent the original message to join but the code didnt work for some reason and never got in
This'll be great for the system. Then again... I want to know more about the support team. It's great having all of these excellent methods of conveying idea's to the console developers... but who are you actually corresponding with? I want more information on how many people are involved... how far up the food chain they can go to get our messages heard.
Does it really matter? Do you think they put the app in place so that the janitor would have something to read??
Just saying bro I doubt the execs have the time to peruse it themselves. To generalise, if a corporate business like MS is a network of line managed teams. Just how long does it take for messages to get where they need to be. You've also gotta consider that some employees will put there stamp on the update requests saying, "its more worthwhile to cover this reported issue because it'll take less time to implement and/or will require less other staff members to negotiate", but then that has to be approved by superiors. When the message does eventually get to where it needs to be... they have to plan and contact a network of underlings to arrange for updates to be programmed and coded, likely implemented by completely separate teams. Then again, someone must've been monitoring the forums prior to the feedback website cropped up. At least maybe the app/website will help to streamline that update request process... it's still undoubtedly more complex in the long run then what meets the eye
