Behind the scenes at Hello Games, makers of 'No Man's Sky'

Theverge :

"On a recent visit to the small Hello Games studio, I got to see how the 10-person team is going about its monumental task. The entire development crew works from inside just one big room, which resides next to a taxi company's offices. It's an unglamorous but friendly setting, decorated with Asteroid stickers on the walls and lots of vibrant color throughout. Scattered all around are various testing computers and consoles, including PlayStation and Xbox controllers and the recently arrived Sony Morpheus headset. The first-person No Man's Sky would seem to be an ideal candidate for being used with a VR headset like the Morpheus or the Oculus Rift, though Hello Games won't promise anything just yet. You'll find photos from the studio below and our early preview of the game right here."

Morpheus support would be cool, but i will be buying this on xb1

johndoe112111453d ago

Just out of morbid curiosity, why?

60FramesPerSecond1453d ago

I like Halo and Forza, and as horizon 2 is 2014, i figured xb1 2014, ps4 2015/2016. its gonna be at least that long before xb1 games look massively worse than ps4 for third party.

johndoe112111453d ago

What????? This is a ps4 timed exclusive. The devs said they have no idea when they will do an xbox version and it's not coming out on the ps4 until late 2014 or early 2015. So again I ask, why???

Bryanarchy1011453d ago

@johndoe

Stop being such a boner.

So the dude prefers to wait until the game releases on Xbox One because it seems like he likes the Xbox One...
What? That rubs you the wrong way because someone likes Xbox over your precious PS4? Get real.

@Bryanarchy101

Account only 10 days old and already you are showing a severe lack of common sense and a rabid fanboy disposition. This has to be some sort of N4G record.

Let me break this down in caveman language so you can understand: "why you wait for it on xbox? it ps4 exclusive. developer say they not know when or if it will come to xbox. so may never come to xbox. If have ps4 also, then just get it for ps4."

I'm hoping I made it a little clearer for you. For everyone else who has an I.Q. above that of a 2 year old, I was simply asking why he would wait for it on xbox when it may never reach the xbox. Based on what the dev said it looks like it will be hitting the pc long before they even think about doing an xbox version.

60FramesPerSecond claims to have both systems so it is extremely illogical to want a game but wait for it to come to a platform that it may never hit and not get it for the platform that it is releasing on.

Don't get him angry. You wouldn't like him when he's angry.

Bryanarchy1011450d ago (Edited 1450d ago )

@johndoe

People can hope to believe the game will be available for Xbox, just because a company said their were no plans does not mean it won't change.

Yes my account is only 10 days old. I'm a newcomer to this craptastic fanboy war you are apparently caught up in and as I try to stay separated from all the fanboyism, I find it hard to discuss/argue over anything that may place the undergarments of a fanboy such as yourself in a twist.

Also, if you followed my comment history (as I have learned this is the main source of ammo for fanboys lmao) I am no where near the ridiculous fanboyism displayed on this site.

Have fun waiting until late 2015/early 2016. I'll be exploring the galaxy in full HD glory at the end of this year:)

Bryanarchy1011453d ago

Congratulations? Good for you? I don't know what you want me to say.

Surprisingly there ARE people who would rather wait for its release on the Xbox. Get real. Not everyone likes the same crap you like.

Rickgrimes951452d ago

Thank you. It is good for me. An maybe it would be better if you didn't say anything?

Suprisingly there AREN'T people who would wait a year for such a unique, innovative, an beautiful looking game. Get real.

medman1453d ago

Wonder what 60frames will be saying when he finds out the game isn't coming to xbone.

60FramesPerSecond1452d ago

Microsoft actually first talked about the game before Sony ever mentioned it. Back at VGX the game was revealed and after that Microsoft said many times they will have the game on xb1

ShadowWolf7121452d ago

@60FramesPerSecond

Actually they have said they'd "love" to have it for the Xbox, but the devs haven't really said a thing about that yet. Just that they'd love to bring it to PC eventually as well.

MasterCornholio1452d ago

Its not like it will be better on Xbox One or anything so might as well play it on your PS4 months before the Xbox One version. I don't any advantage in waiting.

'Morpheus support would be cool, but i will be buying this on xb1
'
You need to place a huge Question Mark at the end of your sentence!

We don;t even know yet if running this game on an xbone would cause it to ignite and taking out an entire city block while vaporising everything within it's radius!

I have no idea why there are people who think No Man's Sky is coming to Xbox One. No one has even hinted that this game will be released on that console and yet people, (Indie Hating Xbox Fan Boys) keep saying that this game is a "timed exclusive." Yes it's coming to PC, but there are absolutely no stories or information stating that No Man's Sky is coming to Xbox One. Yes in the article the developers are using a Xbox 360 controller, FYI, they are compatible with PC's, the 360 controller is probably used to test the PC version. Now if anyone has any link to a story where there is undeniable confirmation that No Man's Sky is coming to Xbox One, please post it. As of right now, it isn't and you can blame it all on [email protected]

Stoppokingme1452d ago (Edited 1452d ago )

It doesn't matter what system this game ends up on, from what I've seen you'll get it either way.

As long as I don't have to pour thousands of hours into getting the bare essentials, I'll be happy. Unlike a certain other game I've played *cough cough X2 cough*. Honestly in that game it took me about sixty hours to get a fighter let alone a cruiser, and I ain't got time for that.

What was I talking about again? that's right, No man's sky. This game is gonna be sweet on any system.
