Currently, it seems like every major publisher wants to get their hands on a MOBA and for good reason. In terms of sheer development costs, MOBAs are probably one of the cheaper multiplayer games to put together, and they have proven very successful at making a select few companies very rich.

There’s also the draw of the eSports scene, which is dominated by MOBAs in Asia and Europe. The biggest problem, however, is that there’s too much competition with games that are too similar and all on the same platform.

The Witcher Battle Arena Review: Barebones Battler: Hardcore Droid

Hardcore Droid - CD Projekt Red has been one of the game industry’s biggest up-and-comers. With the release of The Witcher, they proved that an independent Polish developer can put out a world-class RPG, and with the sequel released a few years later, they showed they could truly compete with AAA devs like Bioware and Bethesda. With the third and most ambitious game in the series looming on the horizon, The Witcher’s newest mobile spinoff is sailing in an a wave of goodwill amassed by their as-yet-spotless track record, but Battle Arena is not what we’ve come to expect from CDPR.
