And why it's the first game designed for the YouTube generation.
“The wording is we're doing a console debut on PS4,” says Murray. “The thing that that leaves open is a PC version.” Does that mean a PC version could arrive day and date with the PS4 No Man's Sky - or possibly even before? “If I'm honest, we're taking on quite a lot at the moment,” says Murray. “We're definitely coming to PS4. I would like to come to PC. Whether that arrives the same day - we're a small team!” As of right now, NMS is a PS4 exclusive. Which is massive.
Nice read and find, Maria! Totally agreed.
I can understand that. They are a small team so they dont have the resources to bring it to all platforms at once. I'm pretty sure it will come to PC shortly after the PS4 version but the Xbox One version might take a while. Really looking forward to this game and hopefully Hello Games delivers. P.S They also stole the show at Diapermans and Doritos Pope failure of a video game awards show.
Especially considering Xbox one is more difficult to develop for.
I have a feeling Sony is going to try locking this developer up long term. This game is just looking (and sounding) too good for them to let that opportunity pass by. This is the kind of game that may end up attracting the attention of the mainstream media, online publications, and print publications in a way that very few games can. The attention from that alone would make it worthwhile for Sony to make Hello games first party, or if not first party, akin to Quantic Dream or Ready at Dawn with their publishing deals.
it was sick
This game is what all games should strive to be. An extension of everything and anything you can imagine laid out in pixels.
It will make it debut on the PS4 and come later to the xone. There is really no reason to get a PS4.
Hello Games isn't "currently talking" about No Man's Sky on Xbox One http://www.totalxbox.com/78... Eventually it should. But it'll be after the PS4 and PC versions, which could be quite awhile based on this interview.
No reason to get it on Xbox One when the best version will come out on PC shortly after the PS4 version. Anyways I'll probably get this on my PS4.
Who peed in your pornflakes this morning.
@nextlevel Don't feed the troll, move along. People with that low of an IQ really aren't even worth a reply.
You're hoping it will come to Xbox One. [email protected] has virtually guaranteed that No Man's Sky will not be on Xbox One.
I was very impressed with the showing of this game. Both me and my husband loved it. We cant wait to give this a try. Hopefully there are objectives in the game as well. Markers if you will, not necessarily obligatory, just gentle reminders.
This game is way overhyped .. Witcher 3 and Batman stole the show IMO.
Witcher and Batman showed people what they were expecting to see. No Mans Sky was unexpected and made people sit up and say "Hmmm"
I really hope Sony and Oculus uses VR with this game. The world and atmosphere looks so immersive.
This is truely the first ELITE style game I've ever known to be on console! Can't wait for release.
Elite came out on the NES. ;) I totally see your point though, and agree totally with your enthusiasm!
Bloody hell your right mate! I totally forgot all about that version. LMAO. I had too many copy of ELITE and Frontier that I lost count lmao. ZX48, C64, NES, Amiga500 through to Amiga2000, Amiga CD32, PC........ :D hahaha
I tip my hat to the developer of this game. It's amazing how a small team can create a game of this calibre.
My thoughts exactly.
It's an intriguing title produced an a small group of extremely ambitious developers. Its easy to see why it garnered so much well deserved attention. It even looks beautiful.
I will get this game for PC. Is perfectly suited for PC gamers. Anyhow this game showed mainstream game developers the creativity, innovation, and a true next-generation game offering a gaming experience unlike anything before it. Pretty much putting mainstream game developers to shame.
