Battlefield fans have been getting a lot of attention from EA and DICE. With the shelving of Medal of Honor, Battlefield has become EA’s only go-to military shooter. Still, there’s a fan request that has gone unanswered.
Bravo, DICE. You guys prove once again that you're totally clueless nowadays. There are several reasons why people loved Bad Company. -It had legitimate destruction -Well balanced gameplay -Non-serious, goofy tone -There weren't a billion unnecessary unlocks(aka simplicity) Need I go on? If they ever make a sequel, I hope they realize what made the first two stand out and they take their damn time with it.
Good funny story and excellent multiplayer maps. That's what I loved anyway.
exactly, one of the few campaigns with good characters and worth playing through. level design was also miles better than any battlefield after them BC and BC2 were far better games than BF3 and 4. apparently they have become retarded at DICE....i gues in their relentless pursuit to copy COD they have lost their identity
Yeah , i enjoyed the single player of bad company more then battlefield 3 and 4 single player combined . But never tried the online . I love the multiplayer on 3 and 4 though despite their problems. I always try to avoid noticing problems in games lol . So i'm having a different experience than most people xP ..
- Bad Company 2 maps were tight, balanced for 24 players - had the best Rush mode in BF games - vehicles more friendly to handle - weapons and control felt better - better damage balance - better destruction - objects easier to make out
Just bring us BC3, I was looking for this before BF4 tbh, Just make sure the game isn't broken went it releases....
I don't get it either. I know I'll probably get a lot of dislikes but I'm just stating my opinion and people should respect that. Battlefield 3 and 4 are way better than bad company. I don't understand how people think bc2 campaign is better than BF3 or BF4. Story is weak, production value is close to nonexistent. No epic set piece moments. Reminds me of people who prefer cod 4 campaign over mw2 and say black ops. Really weird, given the facts that the new installments are superior in every aspect; story, production, voice acting, score, environments, characters, villains.... I don't understand why people prefer bc2 multiplayer either. I myself love bf3/bf4's multiplayer and prefer it over bc2. For example first comment said that he likes the bc multiplayer because : "-It had legitimate destruction" You're telling me bf4 has no destruction ? yes in bc2 you could destroy everything , but the maps were flat meaningless shit. "-Well balanced gameplay" I don't understand how bf3 and bf4 are not balanced "-There weren't a billion unnecessary, unlocks(aka simplicity)" You don't have to think about unlocking anything. Unlocking stuff and getting rewards is part of the fun in any game for me. I think that a big part of the reason some people prefer bc2 over bf3 and bf4 is that they played it when they were younger.
Ali, the main installments went backwards in terms of a main feature (destruction). Running through a town while tanks and rockets destroy all the buildings around you was such a satisfying experience that BF3 and 4 were almost dissapointing.
Bring back mortar strikes called in by Recon.
Bad Company 1 had one of the best FPS single player campaigns last generation hands down. Although short on game modes, BC1 also had some amazing multiplayer maps. Bad Company 2 was also fantastic with an improved multiplayer suite, but I have to admit that I didn't like the single player campaign anywhere near as much as BC1. I would love to see EA release Bad Company 1 on Origin so that PC players can experience the awesome characters and open world single player action. I was really disappointed that EA never released BC1 as a digital download on PS3. Overall, I prefer the Bad Company series over the main Battlefield series. In fact, I still play Bad Company 2 on PC all the time.
DICE should re-watch these videos they posted on their blog! A fellow named Norm360 made them and are the best video montages on BFBC2! https://www.youtube.com/wat... https://www.youtube.com/wat...
Oh man DICE... Really? Come on' are you even playing your own games.. Why don't they just REMASTER Bad Company 2 and give us that, instead of the broke BF4 skin pack Hardline. I would love to play Bad Company 2 on PS4 with new improved graphics, and keep everything the same, all game mechanics how they were. When ever a Game Company is clueless on why something is good or why it works, Guess what you should do??? Ask your consumers.... -How did DICE become so clueless.. .____........___... .____||......||.......|___|| ||.........___||............ ||
I didn't like BadCompany 2 tbh. Is it better than BC? Because I kinda liked that one and finished it. Maybe I was just tired of Shooters at the time I played BC2
Understandable, FPS have flooded the market last gen
Bad company is still fun to play
Bad company 2 online took skill to dominate and a good player could own, this how its supposed to be! BF3 and BF4 just dumbed the game down, for instance stinger missiles which take no skill easily shoot down choppers, in BC2 it took skill to shoot down the chopper! and it took skill to fly well and dominate in the chopper! It also takes skill to fly well etc in BF3 and BF4 but the problem is the chopper is too easily killed! I think BF3 and BC2 were balanced allot better and the maps were light years better then BF4! Also i think the control's were more snappy and responsive and more arcade like, i think BF3 and BF4 and overly complex with regards to guns attachments etc. Its over kill! I loved BC2 but it was ruined later in its life with the net code patch which lowered the server tick rates. Its the same problem with BF4 which had a bad tick rate and is only being addressed now! But even with its problems i LOVED BF3! sank hundreds of hours into it, the gun on gun combat was much better in BF3 over BF4! grenade spamming has to stop, it has ruined BF4! and the guns in general feel and handle like crap compared to BF3 and BC2! I would buy BC2 remastered in 1080p 60fps and BF3 remastered in 1080p 60fps for the PS4 any day of the week!!
The unlocks in BF4 are retarded, forcing me to play with weapons I don't like to unlock weapons that I do like.
Bad company was fun Dice that all you need to know.
its all about the gameplay thats why!!
Real upfront knifing, shotgun sniping, UAV, destruction it was an overall better franchise compared to BF3 and 4 ;)
Well DICE for starters the characters are far more memorable and actually funny because of that the campaign was a joy to play. Then in multiplayer actual destruction that I cause, not crappy set piece "levolution" aswell as fantastic map design, that's why DICE .
Boss doesn’t know what made two of its titles so beloved by fans. LOL
No prone or unnecessary flashlights glaring you every few mins. Well designed tight maps. Take out the 'leveloution' crap. Because its just one set piece into another. We want real destruction, buildings we can take out ourselves. If anything every Battlefield game since has been a step back.
Suppression ruins the game, too, imo. Spending half the game with a blurry screen is no fun. Too many unnecessary mechanics added (the vertical and horizontal recoil business is taking it a bit too far), and too many urban maps.
In BF1942 gamers loved the super large maps where you could fly bombers etc so what does DICE do?? make sure these types of maps never get in another BF game again!! BF2 had an expansion called Special Forces that had more compact maps but made use of height by adding grappling hooks and zip line so you could climb up buildings / cross from building to building, had night vision goggles for night maps etc. It was so much fun to play and walked all over games like CoD series yet what did DICE do.... nothing!!
BF2 Imo is the model battlefield. Special forces was so much fun!
I am worried about DICE if they can't figure out why people liked Bad Company.
Each class felt like an sctual class for starters. Snipers could only use sniper rifles, Support could only use LMG's, etc. None of this mixing. It was balanced. And i'd love to finish where the gang left off in Texas. Ohh yeah... GOLF CARTS!
1. Simplicity of the game 2. Had a more humorous tone 3. The destruction was to its fullest extent 4. The story was decent and playable 5. It was not broken 6. Everything molded together like it belonged in the game
I thought it was a fresh experience from CoD, with good destruction (not just a few walls and pillars to take down) a nice feel to the gun and just a better experience overall, I miss the ghillie suits :( :(
1. The maps are well designed and fun, also the existence od rush only and conquest only maps which made those maps PERFECT for the chosen scenario. They were built to scale, not too large, not too cramped. There's not a single map that well balanced in both BF3 and BF4. 2. Campaign doesn't take itself too seriously (although BC1's campaign was better than 2's.), singleplayer levels were completely open in BC1. 3. Destruction felt more direct, more believable. Half of the things in BF3 and 4 are indestructible, which is sad. 4. Simplicity. Each weapon felt unique in it's own way without being completely useless or overpowered. Every weapon had it's purpose, every attachment a gameplay advantage/disadvantage. Battlefield 3 can sort-of skate by this, but only barely. 5. Balance overall. Classes were perfectly complementary to each other. Each weapon felt unique, every gadget had it's purpose and was well balanced, every vehicle distinct. 6. BETTER INFANTRY COMBAT. You just can't get a game as good as Bad Company by having the biggest maps, the most weapons and gadgets, the most ridiculous vehicles. Balance is key. Overall, I feel as if a lot more heart has gone into making BC1 and 2. Seriously - DICE LA, formerly Danger Close, is more optimistic about Battlefield than DICE the original. I know this is probably falling on deaf ears, but it worries me that the team that made an excellent game don't know how they made it so successful. It's sad. EDIT: Battlefield 1943 was balls to the walls good as well and it had 4 classes, 1 weapon per class and a jeep, boat, tank and an airplane. Still more fun than BF3 and BF4. Shame it never made it to the PC. I still have the pamphlet in my BC2 case saying it's coming soon with PC enhanced features. Lucky I had the chance to play it on my PS3.
EA are unsure why people have had so many gripes with BF4's (formerly) laggy self.. They, EA AND DICE, need some more thorough customer satisfaction research in their budget.
People explain why all the time, DICE. You just don't listen.
It wasn't your standard serious and "realistic" army shooter like everything else on the shelf? My personal reason? you were not getting owned by helicopters and jets every two seconds.....
I distinctly remember an often occurrence on BC2 was a couple of helicopters just raping one base and every vehicle as soon as it spawned, something that I have never seen in BF3 and 4 but rose tinted glasses eh?
Not really. The maps were more ground focused, vehicles took longer to spawn, and they were easier to kill. Tanks were OP and that's it. if you really want to talk "rose tinted glasses" then read that part of your comment that states "something I've never seen in BF3/4" lol That happens ALL the time....
I guess different experiences for different folk. I have not seen baserape to that extent since BC2. BF4 has many problems but I haven't had such an issue with over powered air vehicles, it seems mostly people can't fly them for shit.
Never played bad company. Can I find it on ps now?!
i got it at gamestop used for like $2.99.
I remember when DICE released BF Bad Company. Back then people moaned about "Why didn't they release a REAL Battlefield instead?", "Why can't I prone?", "The story is crap" etc. etc. etc. People always tend to remember only the positive parts about older games.
Everyone complains but the truth is that games like Bad Company actually shaped the BF series into what is today.
im fairly certain prone was the only real issue. some liked the story, others wanted a more serious tone. once they went serious though most of the people who complained probably realized that tone does in fact work better than a serious one. its at that point they should have done BC3, added prone and went from there
Exactly. And this supposed vastly superiour destruction was down to the fact that most levels only had a handful of buildings - there was nothing in a city like BF4.
No brainier behind the mystery...It's the humor!
They don't know but they just have to LISTEN to their customers... I know why I hate BF4 and BFH...
If Dice has to ask why people like Bad Company so much, than Dice is out of touch with their fanbase. Bad Company series is one of the few fps that doesn't take itself serious, you can enjoy and be entertain through most of the game. Characters were entertaining to listen to "He'll just send some special ops douchbags with heartbeat sensor on their gun" stuff like that made the characters likable. MP was well balanced, the guns didn't have tons of accessories kept it pretty simple. Destruction was actual destruction not a building falling over and that's it, everything almost could be destroyed. No laying on your tits(no prone mode) I had more of blast playing the Bad Company series than bf3 or bf4.
Because it's one of the best and most entertaining battlefield games to date.
Clueless DICE is clueless.
oh boy these guys are like codemasters they make great games like Dirt and Grid and then the sequels completly lose the point of what made them great. Battlefiled 3 felt like a true sequel towards BF2 but 4 feels completly unnecessary not to mention hardline...
I never had the opportunity to play BC1, but BC2 was my introduction to the Battlefield series, and safe to say 3 and 4 have been somewhat of a step down since, that and the Vietnam DLC was one of the most worthwhile expansions i've ever bought.
You guys at dice are RETARDED. So you're telling me the reason you won't release or haven't released a BFBC 3 is because you are confused of why people like it???!!! “It would be hard to remake something like that. Can we do it? Of course. We have our theories when it comes to the multiplayer." But you won't do it because???
I think what DICE is saying is that they really don't like it themselves. Honestly I don't like the Bad Company series either and the only BF I do like was 3.
Does it worry anyone that since DICE don't even know why we love Bad Company what are the chances BC3 will be good. Will BC3 be another BF3 and BF4? If they don't understand the core values of BC how are they going to make BC3 similar to BC and BC2?
cause the garand. duh!
they come back because the community are those who are committed to trying for there near impossible BFBC1 plat :P
I miss the tracer dart..
If it wasnt for the OP Helos and circle strafe dbags BC2 would have been almost perfect.
Because it was fucking AWESOME.... Funniest mp i´ve played in years, balenced and inteligent.=) Good times.
This is just sad.
Not sure if it's nostalgia or not but I feel some of the maps better. Also, although the maps had less structures, each structure was completely destructible.
