Interesting that they say competitive multiplayer is a secret, rather than denying it outright. Makes me think there will be some kind of PvP component, whether it is a separate mode entirely or featured as some part of the co-op portion.

No online vehicles no deal this time did not play single player on Farcry 3 much, loved the single player on F2 though . I just played co op non stop on 3 every time I started single player there is too much to do back to co op.

@ftwrthtx - It was a secondary mode, that was more directed and linear, not just part of the main open world. There may be logistical issues with bringing it to the main open world. Not sure why.

For goodness sake Ubisoft, one or the other. It pains me to see these great games and think how much more you could add to them if you weren't so bothered about social features.

Co-op in a game like this makes more sense then boring old multiplayer.

Ubisoft really need to cool down with this whole social online interaction thing in almost all their games.

There is co-op in the open world of the main game, but it disables the campaign missions. You can roam the open world and take down fortresses together though. Not split screen though. Online only.

Maybe Far Crys multiplayer will be so good that it can compete with battlefield Call of Duty and Halo. I think Ubisoft can do it.

They probably thought that double the screens meant double the work -- we know how Ubisoft hates work and fails math.

Would have loved couch co-op. It seems lacking in a generation more worried about 1080p 60fps...

I just hope they have a great map editor for the competitive multiplayer. That's what made Far Cry multiplayer so great in the past.
