The world looks amazing, but not entirely sold on the gameplay quite yet.

Yep, just not excited by this at all after seeing more of it.

That's fair, but knowing Insomniac you may feel differently after actually playing it. I personally am stoked but kind of saddened since I won't be able to play it for a long time. that is unless my friend gets it on his XB1 and lets me mooch again lol.

Why are you all not excited after seeing more of it? Just curious.

Gameplay sounds right up my alley:

"After creating an imaginative and unique world, Sunset Overdrive’s developers placed a significant emphasis on making their game all about fighting through numerous enemies with reckless abandon."

"The game features a mind-boggling assortment of weapons, each of which more whacky than the last."

"Marcus used the environment to his advantage, stunning the Herker and raising his Style meter, allowing him to unleash an Amp attack to take out the massive monster. In Sunset Overdrive, the key to killing is to always keep the Style meter flowing."

"The seamless integration of Chaos Mode and the single-player experience allows for a great break in the action from Sunset Overdrive’s normal gameplay and is sure to be one that players enjoy and continually find themselves coming back to. All in all, Sunset Overdrive is shaping up quite nicely to be one of the year’s most insane and enjoyable titles. Xbox One owners may very well find themselves needing to pick up Sunset Overdrive once it releases on October 28, 2014."

-All the previews seem to really be very positive regarding both the world and the gameplay which is more than I can say for a lot of other games. That said NO game is for everybody but from everything I have read and more importantly from all the gameplay vids I've seen so far Sunset Overdrive looks like a ton of fun. I'd say Insomniac is back to doing what they do best making a great wacky over the top game, imo it looks as good or better than some of their best work ever.

@Infected & 4Sh0w

Im just not interested in it anymore, I get the feeling its trying too hard to be this crazy wacky game that's super awesome funtime!

Of course that's just what my impressions are and I'm not that into what I've seen, if you listened to our our podcast you would know that I've never really been hyped for this game but one of my fellow staff members likened it to Jet Set Radio meets Saints Row and it got me interested.

But after watching the recent E3 stuff I'm just not into it, thats not to say its a bad game so I hope I'm not coming across as though I'm hating on it. If it works for you then great, enjoy the silliness when it comes out.

Why do people get disagrees for expressing their opinions?

Liqvid1243d ago

Because other people might not agree with that particular opinion. Simple as that.

I have not really heard many negatives surrounding this title. It looks like it will be a great fun adult romp through the awesome apocalypse. :) Day one for me.

I can't wait for this game I've always been a fan of insomniac.
