2015’s Hits Are So Far Away. But So What?

Dealspwn writes: After the lengthy presentations on day zero of E3 concluded, I couldn't shake the feeling that there really wasn't much to look forwards to in the next few months. Every exciting trailer or tantalising CG reveal blasted the same message: come back and see me in 2015, Brendan.

There's a lot of great games coming out this holiday, the wait for the big 2015 games will be easy. All I hope is that so many games releasing next year doesnt force publishers to delay their games even further because of the competition.

Like I can very much see SE delaying the new Tomb Raider into 2016 so it won't compete with Uncharted 4 as they are launching in the same release window

Thats why Devs need to start releasing games in the summer.TLOU showed that it can be done and.worth it.

That is fine with me. Next year will be epic! Besides I am so busy with Project Spark I don't have time for anything else haha

Thankfully I got myself a nice, small backlog of games to fill me in the meantime, while I wait for the big Wii U releases of 2015 (and buy a PS4 as well, hopefully).

- Metroid Prime Trilogy (Wii)

- Pikmin 3 (Wii U, got it free with Mario Kart 8)

- Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (bought it with all its expansions for $15 in the PS Store, thanks for Flash Sales!)

- Darksiders and Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare (bought them both from a friend for less than $20, lol).

- New Super Luigi U, Rayman Origins, Motorstorm Apocalypse and Sonic Colors (games that I bought long ago, and have played partially, need to finish those off).

Along with a few indies and Virtual Console titles that I have on both the Wii U and 3DS.

Yup, most of the games I want aren't coming until 2015... but that's actually a good thing for me, because it will give me the chance to reduce my backlog substantially.

I honestly don't see myself actually clearing all of it, especially thanks to Kingdoms of Amalur, which is a pretty damn long RPG from what I've seen. Lol.

This year end looks pretty interesting though but I really hoped that Arkham Knight would release this year. That's a huge disappointment. The Last of Us should keep me busy during the summer I hope, since I haven't played it.
