How much Dark Souls 2 is too much? The trouble with DLC

Polygon: From Software announced that Dark Souls 2 would be getting more levels this fall, but that announcement sank like a stone as people turned their attention to From’s next game, Bloodborne. We’re already on to the next thing.

I didn’t pay much attention to the news either. I finished Dark Souls 2, and I more or less enjoyed it, but I’m not lining up for more content. Dark Souls 2 felt like it was long enough, and maybe even a little too long. I don’t really need any more. (Dark Souls 2, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

First of all, this article had very little to do with DLC. HE just went on a rant on Dark Soul 2's vanilla level design (which I agree with actually, but I still like the game and hope they improve next time)
If anything, this article is just one big criticism of the original DS2 in comparison to DS1. Not much by way of DLC. One would be hard-presses not to think this was a second attempt by polygon at doing another full-on review.

He says the level design sucks in DS2. However, I still don't see why we can't have more levels. COD: MW 3 had the worst levels in COD history (due to it being made by sledgehammer who was new) but the DLC had made better levels. Perhaps in DS2 we will get better one's too. And even if not, I want it for the combat--as no other game out there plays even remotely similar to it. The writer says the game was too long. So, don't buy the dlc then. He's such an idiot. I'll be buying it, because I could never get enough. It's the only franchise that I would actually want a yearly release for (and with 2 teams at FROM SOFTWARE, it might be possible (if they re-use the same engine too). Plus the game has minimal voice acting so they could push out more if the teams alternated. BUT if they do this, people will say they are milking it. SO that's why they opted to give us the OPTION to buy more via dlc. If one is feeling Dark Soul fatigue, than don't buy it. How is this even an issue?
