‘Alien: Isolation’ Is As Terrifying As Fans Hoped [Game Rant]

Andrew Dyce of Game Rant writes: "The concept of ‘terror’ has always been more difficult for game developers than 'horror'; steeping players in fear up to their eyeballs using something other than horrifying imagery. It’s still early days for Alien: Isolation, but make no mistake: after our time with the game at E3 2014, we were downright terrified." (Alien: Isolation, E3, PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

I can believe it. It doesn't hold your hand and you have to be smart about how you play. You have to plan and coordinate and make decisions quickly or the alien will getcha. This is what horror fans have wanted in a AAA game, especially one based on the first Alien film.

After the scores Murdered: Soul Suspect received I'm starting to think people can't enjoy a game without shooting stuff. I'm personally looking forward to playing this game.

Murdered:Soul Suspect got the scores it did because it sucked. It was Thief all over again, this time with a dead police detective walking around as a ghost. I'm leary about Alien:Isolation. Great Britain/Alien/Video Game is a recipe for disaster.

Loved the E3 demo. It's basically Outlast with Aliens. That's a good thing. I wonder how long it is.
