Preview: Is Lords of the Fallen a kinder, gentler Dark Souls? | GameCrate

GameCrate: "Lords of the Fallen from developer CI Games is not a Dark Souls game … but the inspiration couldn’t possibly be more clear. But you know what? That’s okay. While this new project doesn’t look to be doing a great deal differently than its obvious spiritual inspiration, it still manages to execute its gameplay, difficulty, and dark tone quite wonderfully. If you’re a Dark Souls fan, don’t shrug this game off as an also-ran. Think of it as a game that you’re more than likely to enjoy if brutally tough action-RPGs are right up your alley." (E3, Lords of the Fallen, PC, PS4, Xbox One)
