Top 5 video game songs

Music has the ability to bring people together, it surpasses the barriers of age, race and gender. Everyone loves music. Music in video games create atmosphere, can serve as narrator and it also reminds us of the good times we had when playing a specific game. (E3, Gears of War, Grand Theft Auto V, Painkiller, PC, PS3, PS4, Watch Dogs, World of Warcraft, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

I was going in expecting OST's as well, turns out it's just a list of 5 pop songs to appear within a game or as part of its advertising campaign. I am dissapoint :(

"Video Game Songs" my ass.

Personally for me Radical Dreamers from Chrono Cross will always be in my top 5. I played it on guitar for my leaving cert music exam in 2005 :D (leaving cert is basically final exam for high school for any non irish folk here)

I've never even played chrono cross (Only chrono trigger) but I heard that song in a friends one day and it's never left me.

Nobuo Uematsu and Yoko Shimmomura take up the rest of my top 5 :P

Like the article states, its merely my choice of Top 5 and people will have different tastes bud. Its more about what music brings to gaming than the actual top 5 songs.

"Power" by Kanye West during the skydiving/rooftop invasion level in Saints Row: The Third. Made it feel epic while you were (SPOILER) killing everything in sight (if you wanted to).

Worst list ever. No songs from Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Cross/Trigger, Final Fantasy (7,8,9,10), Ys Series....what a misleading and joke list.

Took me a while to notice Invincible in the WatchDogs game but I love having that on repeat with Move On Up.

Shin Megami Tensei have some really good songs.

Painkiller was a big one for me. Train station was pretty epic.
