Preview | LittleBigPlanet 3 retains the series' charm

GotGame: LittleBigPlanet 3 now has new members of the playable cast, joining the already lovable Sackboy. During our four player demo, I played as Sackboy and I was slowly introduced to the new cast members one by one. Using the new item the Pumpinator, an air pumping gun, I had to solve a quick puzzle to reveal the character Oddsock, a quadrupedal dog-like addition to the cast with a wall jump ability and a faster run speed that makes him useful for treadmill style mechanisms. (LittleBigPlanet 3, PS4)

The reveal of LBP3 made E3 for me, I know it's not Media Molecule but the new developers seem incredibly passionate about the game and all the previews seem to say the same thing...that it still looks and feels like the others, which is great.

its developed by sumo digital, guys who made the vita version and arguably the best LBP yet. there are also media molecule team members actively helping in the development of this so i am not worried.

The reveal of this was both surprising and extremely pleasant to watch looking forward to this and using odd sock to race like a mad dog

Really liked what I saw too and can't wait to play it.

Totally agree. I played through that demo three times and had great discussions with the people working the little LBP3 rooms. I can't wait for the full game!

I thought the reveal of this game was great! I also like that all the previously made levels will be playable with the new game. Just like I've been hearing and reading, I also am glad this game is staying true to the first 2. It's a little shocking I haven't heard anything like "but we've done that before, we need NEW and 'innovative' things in the game". My only hope is that puzzles can still be solved with just sackboy or one other player. I understand there are 3 and 4 player puzzles I'm just hoping for more than one way to solve them. It's not a big concern though just a minor one

I love the fact that the game will allow us to play through LBP1 and LBP2 user created levels.

The only thing I hope is they tighten up the jumping mechanics. Sometimes it felt a little "floaty"

Exactly. Why the hell so many disagrees on everyone's posts in here? No one's flaming about anything so I don't get it -_-
