PlayStation Plus: Terraria Free for Members

By Kristine Steimer: "Grab some of your friends and explore a 2D sandbox world where you can gather materials to craft, build whatever you desire and fight monsters like harpies and demon eyes. Once you’ve gotten used to the regular monsters, there are several bosses you can work toward defeating like King Slime. Of course you should be relatively prepared for these encounters, so create some decent gear and weapons before you try to take them down."

Uncharted Golden Abyss and Gravity Rush are leaving the collection? Interesting, hopefully they'll add other 2 big games next month

Mikey322301582d ago

Hopefully! Any Guesses or Wishes?

I really would like Dragon's Crown - For the US.

TheGrimReaper00111582d ago

Might be

We here in Europe have Dragon's Crown, Lone Survivor, Surge Deluxe and Sly Cooper 4

Already lost Uncharted and Gravity Rush

Too good, too late :p
by which I mean I couldn't wait for dragon's crown on vita :D But a great deal for those who dont have it yet

" hopefully they'll add other 2 big games next month"

They're most likely not getting replaced based off the revised PlayStation Plus program.

"In the coming weeks, you’ll see that several of the titles that have had a nice, long stint in the Instant Game Collection will be phased out,"

To me this says that long standing games are gone and..

"Starting in July, every title in the Instant Game Collection will be available the first Tuesday of the month, and will be free for the month, until the first Tuesday of the following month, taking the guesswork out of how long the game will be available for free."

going forward we will get 6 and only 6 games a month and you'll have a month to get them before they're swapped out for the next months.

this is really bad for the Vita, keeping those games mainstays would have helped new PS4 owners to consider getting a Vita....

And for new users it sucks that we are not getting big long standing titles anymore.... don't understand why nobody seemed bothered by it when the announcement was made

JackOfAllBlades1582d ago

Yeah but all you gotta so is tag them so they're in your download list, and you have all month to do so

DualWielding1582d ago

@Rowdius_Maximus you are missing the point, the long standing titles were normally big titles which were the main draw of PS+, people were expecting that when Golden Abyss and Gravity Rush were taken down they will be replaced by equally big titles like Little big Planet Vita or Playstation All Stars because Sony could not just announce any title as a longstanding title.....

Without the notion of big evergreen titles you are not longer guaranteed any big titles, you could get only 2 indies per month over and over...

LordMaim1582d ago

@ferthepoet: All the more reason that potential consumers should buy in to the system now. The sooner they do, the more software they get with PS+.

admiralvic1582d ago

@ Ferthepoet

To be fair, the evergreen titles have been there for nearly 2 years and most PlayStation owners have had ample chance to get them if they really wanted them. I can also understand the concern about a dip in quality, though keep in mind that we've gotten "top tier" titles as normal offerings. A few months ago there was Soul Sacrifice and just this month we had Thieves in Time. With the new program being much shorter and far fewer games, we could actually see a bump in quality from the money they're saving. In the end, only time will tell, but thus far nothing suggests that just because the evergreen titles are gone, Plus will become a worse program.

Off topic slightly but does anyone know how PS Plus works with PS TV? Can you download the free Vita games on it?

memots1582d ago

yes

its basically a Vita, I already have a Vita and will put my memory stick in there. It also takes the Vita game cartridges.

TheGrimReaper00111582d ago

Like memots said

It's like a Vita without a screen. It will also allow streaming services, including the PS4 remote app.

The PS Store functions will work as well, so the Vita TV will allow you to also download all games from the store, including games from PS Plus

BUT there will be some games not playable on the PS Vita TV. Not sure which, but I believe games that use the back touch cant be played on that, but dont quote me on that :p

mt1582d ago

God dam it I just got it, I think i'll try to resist buying those indie games

XiYakushijuAkeginuXi1582d ago

Man I bought Outlast the DLC for it and Daylight. I will never regret buying it even if it goes free the next day because I really enjoyed both games

TheLastGuardian1582d ago

It's your fault for not checking what games would be free this month.

DivineAssault 1582d ago

lilmikey2011582d ago
