Dream of Going to E3? Don’t.

Greg Micek writes: "Another year, another E3; that magical land of games, over priced food, foot traffic, booth babes, and ear blisteringly loud music. E3 is the Promised Land to many gamers, after all, where else can you see a ton of unreleased games and talk to developers?

As exciting as it may be to dream of going, I’m here to tell you that you should give up on that dream."

The story is too old to be commented.

I still find it a valuable and needed tool for both the industry and our outlets. PAX Prime is great for more in depth time, Gamescom is good for a new perspective, but E3 tends to have the largest collection of companies in one place, some of whom do not travel to other shows so it is more than worth it to me.

I think it's more of a systemic problem; i.e. "why does E3 truly need to exist when companies like Nintendo can hold an off-site, pre-recorded, online press event and make just as much of an impact as the big E3 press events.
