Halo 2: Anniversary is "getting the special sauce" says Bonnie Ross

Gamereactor caught up with 343 Industries studio head Bonnie Ross at the Best of Xbox event at E3 to specifically discuss the upcoming Master Chief Collection on Xbox One. We discussed how the matchmaking would work, why Halo 2 was "getting the special sauce" and heard how much better Halo 4 looks on Xbox One.

343 put a lot of work into halo2 you should watch a video of the gane or side by side comparisons with the original game.it looks really great. After seeing it i can only imagine how good halo5 will look. I believe 343i and BT will raise the bar very high when it comes to next gen graphics. halo5 is going to be a visual treat.

Halo 5 (best engine yet in the series) will run at 60fps/1080p...I am sure they will be able to get Halo 2 (runs on the same engine Halo CE: Anniversary does) at the same rate. After all, Halo CE will.

halo CE and halo 2 anniversary both run on their same respective engines that the originals ran on, they use a new graphics engine though. But the 6 remastered halo 2 maps run on a brand new engine(I have the feeling it's a more basic version of the halo 5 engine)

I was probably just reading into her one quote too much (I quoted it above). I was just looking for clarification or more info. I'm guessing you're right. It was just a strange (or strangely worded) comment from her.

Im sure 60fps is there target more so than 1080p. If they cant get 60fps in 1080p then they will probably drop down to 900p or something. If they cant manage to hit 1080p 60fps for Halo 2 than I wouldnt expect them to hit it with Halo 5 either. Would be a bit of a blow to MS if they cant hit 1080p 60fps with there biggest franchise.
