IGN - We've played an early build of Star Fox for Wii U and this is what we think.
Running parts just brings back to me the tragic Namco version. Starfox needs to be about vehicles only. 15 years now and so I hope this isn't ruined by daft inclusions. It's in good hands at least providing Shigeru keeps eyes on devs
Aiming sounds awesome. Makes sense, now you can aim left and fly straight or something similar.
Lucky sons of... curse you IGN!
I hope the gamepad controls aren't forced on you and it is playable with a pro controller. I love gamepad features in games but I would rather play this without them.
Why haven't I seen actual gameplay footage ANYWHERE? I mean, seriously. Did Nintendo put them all under embargo, didn't they allow to film it, or what? Is it in such a rough shape that Ninty doesn't want to show it yet? In which case... seriously... why even let the press play it in the first place, if we're not going to get some juicy video captures, or a couple screenshots at least? This tease only makes the wait much harder for me. I'm a big Star Fox fan, and I want to see SOMETHING! ANYTHING! :(
Maybe if you watched IGN's video you would find out why.
I did. But I'm deaf, so if they explained it somewhere in the video, I missed it because I couldn't hear it. Care to tell me what was said regarding the game, then? :3
If it supports online and 4 player split screen dogfighting, I'm on board! If it's a single player only game, no thanks.
Id say given starfox 64 3DS focussed heavily on multiplayer that it will be the same again here. I just hope the campaign takes a lot longer than 1.5 hours to beat.
IGN confirmed other characters were in the demo except Krystal..
I won't be buying it unless it supports pro controller.
I really hope, moving the Gamepad around isn't the only control sheme, otherwise i'm gonna skip it.
EARLY TECH DEMO They'll have tons of options obviously. And apparently they were saying you will be able to swap from Analog Stick controlling the craft to Analog Stick controlling the aiming.
I SAID I ''HOPE''
The 3DS remake of Star Fox 64 allowed both gyro and traditional controls. They will probably allow a variety of options.
Brilliant, this is how you make your tech work for your game experience...doesn't have the graphical prowess of the ps3 and xb1....so "innovate".
