The general look of the game is beautiful, visually the game is absolute. The world around Rowe is incredibly detailed. The use of powers is dazzling - Writes Rachel Ellis
Why are some reviewers so harsh on this game? The game is a ton of fun to play, the traversal mechanics are incredible, the characters and narrative are actually interesting, and the game is absolutely gorgeous. I can't see this game deserving anything below an 8. Personally if I had to assign a score it would have to be a 9.
I read the review and it didn't sound harsh at all, sounded like she really loved it. Since when is a score of 7 considered harsh? 7 out of 10 denotes a really good game, no? Scores lead to laziness and people don't even bother reading what's being said.
Some of my favorite games have been 7 or even 6 out of 10. Starchild if you thinks it's worthy of a 9 why don't you write a review? Having played both 1 & 2, which I enjoyed this just seems like more of the same but a bit prettier, which is not a bad thing but definitely not worthy of a 9. 9's and 10's should be truly standout ground breaking games that you don't see very often. The new infamous is clearly great hence the 7 but 8's and 9's? I don't think so.
