Who Won E3?

Gamereator writes: "A lot of people are, like us, writing articles nominating their winners and losers from this year's E3. It's all opinions at the end of the day, and in that spirit, we've collected together the thoughts of editors from across the Gamereactor Network, and bundled them together with individual picks of favourite games and our most enjoyed trailers."

I honestly think this year was an amazing E3. None of the big 3 embarrassed themselves (phew), and there are so many great games to look forward to in the coming years. Let's hope this momentum can continue forward!

IMO nintendo>>>MS>Sony this year at e3 only going by AAA exclusives.
Counting only multiplatform announcements I guess it is Sony>MS>>>nintendo , but multiplats are on multiple platforms, so I tend to worry more about exclusives shown/announced.

zeuanimals1256d ago

I think you've been told plenty of times that Sony and MS have shown the same amount of AAA exclusives... You're also the guy who counts KI Season 2 as a AAA title.

MysticStrummer1256d ago

Instead of just "gamers" I guess there should also be a new class called "AAA exclusivers".

Gamers... have changed.

As it stands Sony/Microsoft > Nintendo

Where are those N64 games? Like seriously the only game I'm looking forward to for this year is Smash ;)

Joe9131256d ago

I think they all did very well there really was no one better than the other cause it was so diverse they had something for everyone whether it was indie or AAA they all had really great shows

MS> Nintendo> Sony.

Nintendo> MS> Sony

The reason Sony comes last Imo of course those indies titles like No Man's Sky, Magicka and Tim Schaffer game will hit other platforms.

The order which looked amazing was a bit short on what we saw I wanted to see just a little bit more. Blood Borne and UC4 is what saved it, mainly UC4 which is stunning. Of course third party support looked great but it is third party they're on other plats.

But the biggest drawback.

Shawn Layden session is what really killed it. the TV,app, statistics PR chatter was a bore. It wasn't the longest session ever but it was long enough to kill the hype.

In that regards MS and Nintendo have more exclusives to look forward to than Sony AT THE MOMENT.

But listen Its not like Sony's struggling, its not like they need to be super impressive or hammer down on the games there's a reason they didn't go crazy and it was laid back. They have the most sold consoles, so they can slack off a bit and breath easy.

All of their studios are working on projects Sony Santa Monica, Sony Bend, Media Molecule and Guerrilla Games could make appearance's at Gamescom if not then E3 2015.

And I'll be ready.

I think when it has to be discussed like this who won E3, no one really won, but when a company hit it out of the park and nearly everyone will agree that Sony won last year, that's when there's a winner.

I odn't think there was a winner this year, they all did equally as well, be it EA's announcement of Criterions game, Ubisofts Rainbow 6, Microsofts Crackdown and Halo 2 remaster, and Sony's PS TV, White PS4, and the fact they got to announce GTA V for next gen

everyone won

noctis_lumia1255d ago

hello kitty games does not making nintendo a winner unless you r -10 year old then i get it

redwin1255d ago

I have all the consoles, so I'm the true winner!

Reeze1256d ago

IMO, Nintendo won. I really enjoyed their event, and it's not even over!

CertifiedGamer1256d ago (Edited 1256d ago )

Nintendo didn't even manage to impress with Zelda. Infamous second son puts Zelda graphics to shame 10x around.

Microsoft and Sony had a showing of multi platforms.

Sony won because they showed Uncharted a game who graphics X1 will not be able to match due to console hardware power restrictions and PS4 also has the beta for hardline and destiny which gives fans a hand on approach to 2 of the most anticipated games of 2014.

Reeze1256d ago

Zelda open-world
Bayonetta 2
Xenogears Chronicles X
Yoshi's Woolly World
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
Mario Maker
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker
Project Giant Robots
Project Guard
Star Fox Wii U
Super Smash Bros. Wii U
Super Smash Bros. 3DS
Pokemon Omega and Alpha
Devil's Third
Hyrule Warriors
Unannounced major 3DS game (1 hour remaining!)

All of that, I think, definitely deserves more than third place.

coltlokk1256d ago

And it looks like all you care about is graphics. Uncharted will no doubt be an amazing game, but that's not just because of it's amazing graphics. Saying Sony won because they had the best graphics.....that's dumb. I wouldn't mind if you said something like Sony won because you think they had the best games.

The Zelda graphics were great. Raw polygon count will never be as good as titles on the other platforms because of hardware limitations. So they use a more stylized rather than realistic approach, which looks good as well. I'm really looking forward to an open world Zelda.

CertifiedGamer1256d ago (Edited 1256d ago )

@Coltlokk, graphics aren't everything but graphics in uncharted did make anything on the X1 had shown look un-impressive in comparison. You know why Zelda wasn't impressive. Due to no release date. You Wii U owners are going to wait until 2016 to play that. Nintendo has a track record of announcing and teasing Zelda's for 2 years or more before the time of release date. Zelda will probably release in fall of 2016. Hope you enjoy waiting that long. Nintendo will announce a release date in e3 2015, or e3 2016.

I am referring to the Zelda game being developed by Nintendo, not the one being developed by Koei that is a dynasty warriors game with Legend of Zelda skins. Zelda warriors is just a way for Koei to market a brand for a quick buck.

Sony mmy ass. Honestly the ones who really won are third party devs, If I had to choose a first party I would say Nintendo because of their hilarious E3 and robust line up. As a PC gamer this is probably my favorite E3, Witcher 3 and Dragon Age 3 gameplay while GTA V also being announced for PC.

SmokingMonkey1256d ago

I won.

I saw LBP3 for Nov.

I saw gameplay for the Order.

I saw Uncharted4.

See I won.

noctis_lumia1255d ago (Edited 1255d ago )

the 9+mil ps4 owners
+ the software EXCLUSIVE IP

end of story now go back to halo thx

elhebbo161255d ago

@noctis, Halo? you calling me a peasant? LOL yea ok buddy, and I meant that no gives a shit about you 'winning' or whatever that means.

Destrania1256d ago

Sony has the games I want to play by a long shot. Very happy to have a PS4.

Jrmy841256d ago

Exactly how I felt watching Microsoft and Sony. I wanted to play More of the PS4 games even if they are multi plat. Only game I'll buy a xboxone for is Halo 5, then others afterwards other then that Sony has my vote as winner this year. E3 needs to start allowing the general public back in, dull ass audience since they stopped. When Grim Fandango was announced I blow up clapping and there the E3 sleep crowd, just little applause.
